A system for enhancing sound includes a structure defining a first portion of an oblong enclosure that forms an approximated double ellipse profile and positioned between a first area proximate a first speaker driver and a second area proximate the listener, the first portion of the oblong enclosure forming a first part of the approximated double ellipse profile; and a second portion of the oblong enclosure that forms the approximated double ellipse profile and positioned between a third area proximate a second speaker driver and a fourth area proximate the listener, the second portion of the oblong enclosure forming a second part of the approximated double ellipse profile. The first portion and the second portion are shaped such that sound emitted from the first speaker driver and the second speaker driver is reflected and focused toward the listener.

The present invention relates to a bed dividing barrier in order to provide at least one of the individuals in a bed privacy or to limit the amount of light from one side of the bed to the other. The present invention describes a novel device that provides privacy between individuals sharing a bed and includes at least one dividing barrier which is attached at one end to at least one vertical support member and wherein such vertical support extends vertically from a base support structure. The present invention may further include a horizontal support that provides further support to the bed dividing barrier.

Fabric panel bottom edges slightly overlap each other in louver arrangement affording privacy; sunlight mitigation; and, airflow allowance for the creation of a wind resistant privacy partition.

A system for enhancing sound includes a support structure and one or more panels forming a panel structure. The panel structure defines a first and second portion of an oblong enclosure, both forming an approximated double ellipse profile, comprising a material having a sound reflective surface, and held by the support structure. The first portion extends between a first area proximate a first speaker driver and a second area proximate the listener. The second portion extends between a third area proximate a second speaker driver and a fourth area proximate the listener. The two portions are shaped such that sound waves emitted laterally from the first and second speaker drivers are reflected and focused toward the listener as three-dimensional sound.

A privacy shield includes an arrangement of fabric panels including a top panel, a back panel and opposite side panels surrounding an interior privacy chamber. The top panel has a window with a movable flap cover for entry of light and viewing into the nursing chamber. Retractable drawstrings extending through seams of the panels allow for adjustment of the height and width of the nursing chamber. A skeletal frame member extends through a continuous sleeve along the peripheral edges of the fabric panels allowing the privacy shield to be collapsed under tension into a compact arrangement for transport and storage, and expanded in a pop-open action, wherein the frame member holds the arrangement of fabric panels taut in surrounding relation to the interior privacy chamber. An acoustic panel assembly may have one or more panels adaptable for reflecting sound waves and a support member to which the one or more panels may be attached. The support member may be extendable and retractable. The one or more panels and the support member may be collapsible into a housing. The one or more panels may be configured in one or more substantially planar portions, one or more substantially curved portions, or a combination thereof.

An acoustic panel assembly may have one or more panels adaptable for reflecting sound waves and a support member to which the one or more panels may be attached. The support member may be extendable and retractable. The one or more panels and the support member may be collapsible into a housing. The one or more panels may be configured in one or more substantially planar portions, one or more substantially curved portions, or a combination thereof.

The disclosed interlocking panel systems are portable, self-supporting, and modular. They may function as guards around the sides, rear, and a surface of a workspace and can be disassembled by one person and transported to a sink for cleaning or another location for use or storage. They may also function as structural panels for constructing an enclosure, such as a building.

A retractable barrier system for inhibiting access to designated private and public areas both indoors and outdoors, including by way of example but not limitation, retail and warehouse aisles and the like, includes a flexible screen retractable and extensible from a rotatable rod coupled to a mounting member, the mounting member having an attachment mechanism for coupling with a receiving member, wherein a winding mechanism is coupled to the rotatable rod for retractably receiving and extending the flexible screen, the flexible screen is comprised of material having a sufficient modulus of elasticity to promote substantially smooth retractably receiving thereof and may further include tapering between ends thereof, and the winding mechanism may include a guide member having a surface of sufficient diameter oriented substantially perpendicular to the flexible screen to guide the flexible screen upon retractably receiving the screen.
