Retractable barrier system
A retractable barrier system and method for inhibiting access to designated private and public areas both indoors and outdoor, including retail and warehouse aisles and the like, includes a flexible screen retractable and extensible from a rotatable rod coupled to a mounting member, the mounting member having an attachment mechanism for coupling with a receiving member such as storage rack assembly support post or bracket or the like.
ADJUSTABLE SCREEN SYSTEM FOR A WORK SURFACE
A screen system for use with an article of furniture includes a screen and a rail. The screen has a degree of flexibility in the direction of the screen thickness. The screen includes a plurality of attachment hooks projecting from the interior surface, the attachment hooks are spaced apart along the screen length. The rail is configured to be affixed to the article of furniture, and the attachment hooks hook onto the rail to support the screen on the rail, with the attachment hooks being slidable along the rail to enable adjustment of the position of the screen along the rail in the direction of the screen length.

Expandable room dividers
Systems and methods for deployment, storage, transport of expandable room dividers. The systems may include a frame configured to lock room divider panels compactly stacked against each other for storage and transport. The frame may retain a non-releasable panel and maintain it vertically upright. That panel may be hinged along a non-retained vertical edge to a closest of a plurality of panels movable with respect to the non-releasable panel. The plurality's panels are serially hinged together, accordion-like, along vertical edges. Hinge angles between adjacent stacked panels are approximately zero degrees. Movable panels are sequentially moved from the frame by user-control opening a locking mechanism. Hinge angles between adjacent panels of the plurality of moved panels, and between the non-releasable panel and its adjacent movable panel, are increased to expand the room divider. The locking mechanism gates return of panels to, and when unopened blocks their movement from, the non-releasable panel.

NOISE REDUCTION APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
A noise reduction apparatus can include a frame and multiple spaced apart panels positioned adjacent to each other. Each of the panels or only one of the spaced apart panel elements may have holes therein to receive acoustic waves for absorbing the waves between the panels. The panels can be attached to a frame or other connection structure so that the arrangement of panels can be hung over a work space or positioned in a work space (e.g. in a wall, formed as a partition or wall, included as part of shelving, etc.). The panels can also be incorporated into a light fixture that may hang from a ceiling or be attached to some other type of support (e.g. a table, a base, etc.). The panels can be composed of glass, wood, or other type of material.

Panel body
A panel body (11) includes: a panel-like base material (12); a groove (25) which is continuous along at least a part of an outer circumferential end portion of the base material (12), and is recessed to the inside of the base material (12); a soft material (13) which is provided on one or more surface of the base material (12); a cover material (14) which covers the base material (12) and the soft material (13), and in which the outer circumferential end portion is caught in the groove (25) in the outer circumferential edge portion of the base material (12); and a fixing member (30) which fixes the cover material (14) in the groove (25).

Adjustable canopy and shade system for office workspace
This invention provides an adjustable canopy system for a workspace that includes a perimeter frame that exerts tension on a fabric piece, and defines illustratively, an ovular outline shape. The fabric piece can include a central/spine rod that is external, or internal of the fabric, so as to define a V-shaped cross section. The canopy element is mounted on an arm assembly so that it rotates to adjust tilt. The arm assembly also includes a multi-dimensional joint that allows for motion in a plurality of degrees of freedom. Illustratively, the multi-dimensional joint exerts selectable holding friction that retains the joint at a predetermined orientation, but allows movement under appropriate biasing force by a user. The multi-dimensional joint is mounted on the end of an upright. A base clamp is mounted with respect to a slot/groove or on an edge of the desktop.
