CONVERSION KIT
20210262753 · 2021-08-26 ·

A conversion kit for converting a firearm to fire only non-lethal training ammunition comprises a barrel assembly and a slide assembly wherein the barrel assembly includes a barrel having a projection and the slide assembly includes a gate which interacts with the projection. The gate includes a member which is movable between a first ‘safe’ position wherein a firing pin of the firearm is blocked from impacting on a cartridge to a second ‘fire’ position wherein the firing pin is not blocked from impacting upon a cartridge in the chamber.

FIREARM SIMULATION ARRANGEMENT FOR A VIRTUAL REALITY SYSTEM
20210270569 · 2021-09-02 ·

A firearm simulation arrangement for a virtual reality system, includes a firearm having a trigger mechanism actuating a firing mechanism for firing ammunition. The firearm, the ammunition, and a user extremity arranged to hold the firearm each have a unique indicium. A detection arrangement detects the unique indicia, identifies and tracks the firearm, ammunition, or user extremity, and forms a tracking signal in response. A controller device in communication with a user-worn virtual reality headset, is arranged to receive the tracking signal from the detection arrangement and determine therefrom a discharge of the ammunition by the firing mechanism associated with the tracking of the firearm, ammunition, or user extremity. The controller device is responsive to the discharge determination to display on the virtual reality headset a virtual simulation of the firearm discharging the ammunition upon actuation of the trigger mechanism by the user extremity. An associated arrangement is also provided.

ANALYSIS OF SKEET TARGET BREAKAGE

AUGMENTED REALITY GAMING SYSTEM
20210234747 · 2021-07-29 ·

An augmented reality gaming system uses a gameplay device to removably secure a mobile device. The gameplay device has at least one user interface and a wireless transceiver for communicating with the mobile device. An augmented reality gaming app stored in the memory of the mobile device utilizes an image sensor of the mobile device to display a live image on a screen of the mobile device, and causes graphics corresponding to one or more virtual targets to be overlaid on the live image. Using information from a location sensor and an orientation sensor of the mobile device, together with information about a virtual location of the virtual target, the mobile device determines whether a virtual shot triggered by the at least one user interface causes virtual damage to the virtual target.

A Reciprocating Slide Device for use with a semi-automatic pistol or rifle, which will simulate the action of the firearm by use of an electromagnet upon user activation of the trigger, and a spring that reciprocates the slide in order to reset the trigger thereafter.

DIRECT FIRE WEAPON SYSTEM TRAINING AND FIRING AID
20210239429 · 2021-08-05 ·

A direct fire weapon system training and firing aid comprising a shoulder bar attachment for elevating and/or traversing a direct fire weapon system is disclosed. It may have an elongate arm for attachment to the weapon system and extending in a generally rearward direction from the weapon system. Once coupled to a weapon system, it gives a user a stable method of supporting and moving the weapon system, allowing the user to quickly elevate and traverse the weapon system by giving the user an additional point of contact, for example at the shoulder or under the arm, to support and stabilize the weapon system.

UNIVERSAL LASERLESS TRAINING ARCHITECTURE

A laserless combat simulation device includes at least one processing device and a memory device having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the at least one processing device cause the at least one processing device to receive a trigger event from a weapon device. The instructions further cause the at least one processing device to receive image data from an optical sensor array of the weapon device of a field of view of the weapon device, receive position information and orientation information of the weapon device at the time of the trigger event, analyze the image data to determine an identity and location of a target, and calculate a ballistic outcome based at least in part on the position information and orientation information of the weapon device, the identity and location of the target, and ballistic characteristics of a simulated round fired from the weapon device.
