CROSSBOW WITH TRAVELING TRIGGER AND CONVENTIONAL BOW
A crossbow may include a main beam and a bow mechanism having a pair of outwardly extending bow limbs, a pair of bowstring wheels, a bowstring and at least one power cord that extends between the bow limbs. The crossbow may also include a traveling trigger mechanism and a drawing mechanism. The traveling trigger mechanism may hold the bowstring in the un-cocked condition. The drawing mechanism may then be operated to move the traveling trigger mechanism and thus the bow string from the un-cocked condition to a cocked condition.
Bow press adapter assembly
Briefly, an adapter assembly, such as for use with a bow press that may be utilized to retain a bow, such as a compound bow, may include (among other things) an insert at a first end portion of the bow press for inclusion within an opening of the bow press. The adapter assembly may additionally include an arm that abuts the insert, and may further include an axle and bushing to accommodate a first bracket, the first bracket to exert a compressive force on at least one limb of a bow while the bow is placed between the first bracket and a second bracket at a second end portion opposite the first end portion. The arm may extend in a direction toward the second end portion.
Bow fishing reel with reduced friction payout
A reel suitable for bow fishing and the like provides a cowling covering a reel with a wide opening to reduce frictional restraint on high-speed paying out of the line with the flight of the arrow. An optional guide arm may be used to minimize line diversion and hence friction during line payout while absorbing forces when the line is retracted permitting use of a lighter cowling design without loss of strength. A high torque bevel gear transmission and safety lighting is further provided.
Bow
A bow includes a handle and upper and lower limbs. The upper and lower limbs are formed of a laminated fiber-reinforced plastic material. The upper limb has first and second sets of fiber sheets stacked in a direction along a lateral axis. The first set of fiber sheets have fibers aligned at a first angle from a longitudinal axis, and the second set of fiber sheets having fibers aligned at a second angle from the longitudinal axis in an opposite direction. The lower limb has third and fourth sets of fiber sheets stacked in a direction along the lateral axis. The third set of fiber sheets have parallel fibers aligned at a third angle from the longitudinal axis, and the fourth set of fiber sheets having fibers aligned at a fourth angle from the longitudinal axis in an opposite direction. The angles are between 16 and 44 degrees.
Bow-Type Throwing Tool
A bow-type throwing tool includes a central body, a nocking string for an arrow, and elastic energy storage mechanism operated by the traction of the string. The elastic energy storage mechanism includes: two opposed primary levers connected with hinging to the central body, the nocking string being constrained by its opposite ends to opposite free ends of the primary levers; two opposed axial action thrust accumulators, defined on the central body; a loading element of the axial action thrust accumulators configured to induce a compression in the thrust accumulators following a traction of the nocking string.
Hybrid riser for archery bow
In some embodiments, an archery bow riser comprises a body defining a first end, a second end and a grip portion. The body defines a shooting axis and comprises a first portion and a second portion. The first portion comprises a metal and the second portion comprises carbon fibers. The first portion extends to a first side of the shooting axis and to a second side of the shooting axis, and the second portion extends to the first side of the shooting axis and to the second side of the shooting axis.

Crossbow
A crossbow is configured to shoot a projectile. The crossbow includes a frame defining a horizontal projectile plane. The projectile moves within the horizontal projectile plane when the crossbow is fired. The crossbow includes pulleys and cams to improve performance of the crossbow.
Insulated grip and related method of installation
A grip for a weapon is provided and can include a user engagement area including a first surface on the weapon, a first layer including an aerogel, the first layer disposed adjacent the first surface, and a first engagement member disposed over the first layer in the user engagement area. The first engagement member includes an exterior surface that engages an appendage of a user when the user holds the weapon. The first layer including the aerogel insulates the first engagement member so that thermal energy transfer between the user and the weapon is impaired. The weapon can be an archery bow, a firearm or any other weapon including a grip or portion that is engaged by an appendage of a user.
