Payload launching apparatus and method
A method and device are provided for launching a payload from water, including a launching tube having inside walls, outside walls, a top and an inlet at the tube bottom, with the tube anchored to the bottom water surface. The tube includes a nozzle or neck inlet to the bottom and an open top outlet. A gate valve at the inlet is opened by remote control signals; or an explosive plug at the inlet is removed by an explosion initiated by remote control. The launching tube loaded with a payload and air filled and empty of water is installed in water with the inlet and the tube bottom proximate to the bottom water surface deep below the tube top, which is positioned above the water surface.

DIGIT MOUNTED DEVICE FOR LAUNCHING PROJECTILES
A finger-mounted device for launching a projectile in response to a flick of a finger by a user. The finger-mounted device may comprise a securing means for securing a launcher to the finger of the user. The securing means may comprise a strap, loop, or cinch. The finger-mounted device may further comprise a launch guide extending outwardly from a base member. A projectile may be mounted onto or into the launch guide. The projectile is launched in response to the user flicking the finger, using the thumb as a tensioning means. The projectile may take a wide variety of forms.

SELF-DEFENSE KEY HOLDER
Aspects of the present disclosure generally pertain to an apparatus and method for holding a key for self-defense. Aspects of the present disclosure more specifically are directed toward a self-defense key holder or an apparatus that rapidly converts a key (e.g., house key) into a fighting weapon, for example, for self-defense. The defense key holder may utilize an existing key (e.g., home/office/auto) to replace bulky and often prohibited self-defense aids. This disclosure may be useful for giving a user additional control and force in a variety of motions with a key or other object.

Self-defense apparatus
A self-defense apparatus includes a sleeve portion, an adapter portion connected to the sleeve portion, and a weapon. The sleeve portion includes one of a fastener or a fastener-receiving passage. The sleeve portion includes a proximal sleeve portion, a distal sleeve portion, a proximal end surface, an outer side surface, and a distal end surface. The sleeve portion defines an implement-receiving cavity that extends axially into the proximal end surface. The proximal end surface and a proximal portion of the outer side surface define a handle portion of the sleeve portion. The distal end surface and a distal portion of the outer side surface define a distal sleeve portion having an adapter-interfacing body of the sleeve portion. The adapter portion includes the other of the fastener and the fastener-receiving passage. The adapter portion defines an adapter body. The weapon is defined by the adapter body and the adapter-interfacing body.

Expandable baton with magnetic retention
An expandable baton including a handle tube having a proximal end, a distal end, and a channel extending between the proximal end and the distal end. The expandable baton further includes a striking rod dimensioned to slide within the channel and having a retention end. In addition, the expandable baton further includes an end cap attached to the proximal end of the handle tube. The end cap includes a well chamber with a retention magnet that is configured to attract the striking rod. The retention magnet retains the collapsed position by attracting the striking rod. The well chamber also has a collar that is separated from the retention magnet by a determined distance, such that there is a separation between the collar and the retention magnet. The collar is configured to abut the retention end of the striking rod while the expandable baton is in a collapsed position.
