Recoil-inhibiting grips for firearms

Disclosed are recoil-inhibiting grips for handguns that minimize recoil without sacrificing aiming accuracy. The grips may provide both recoil inhibition and grip stability by incorporating a vibration-damping elastomeric strategically positioned in only the back surface of a handgun grip (e.g., facing the palm). The elastomeric insert may be incorporated in the top section of the rear surface of the grip, where the bulk of the recoil force meets the user's palm.

Latch and release mechanism for adjustable firearm stock

An adjustable stock assembly includes a housing, a stock rail, a release, a key movable with respect to the release, a latch rotatable about a latch pivot between a latched position, an unlatched position and a disassembly position, and a latch cam pin coupled to the release. The housing is extendable and retractable with respect to the stock rail. The stock rail has a slot and one or more recesses adjacent to the slot that can engage the latch, thereby preventing disassembly of the rail from the housing and further securing the rail in a particular configuration. When partially depressed along with the key, the release disengages the latch from the stock rail recesses, allowing the housing to extend and retract within its adjustment range. The housing can be disassembled from the stock rail when the key and release are fully depressed.

Buttstock for a buffer tube

A buttstock having a buttplate that comprises a partial hollow cylinder extending from a surface of the buttplate; a static arm extending from a first portion of the partial hollow cylinder; a dynamic arm extending from a second portion of the partial hollow cylinder, wherein the static arm is separated from the dynamic arm by a compression gap, wherein the dynamic arm can be urged toward the static arm; and an at least partially threaded static arm aperture formed through said static arm and aligned with a dynamic arm aperture formed through said dynamic arm.

Bullpup stock assembly with break barrel gun

A special stock assembly for break barrel air guns includes a bullpup stock assembly which allows a break barrel air gun to normally break without requiring any modification to the cylinder, or cocking mechanism. The invention can include the mechanical components of a break barrel air rifle as part of an original manufacture with the gun by moving the trigger assembly forward, or as an after market retrofit to an existing gun, in which case a cable linkage is provided between the in situ OEM trigger assembly and an additional trigger pull provided with the bullpup stock assembly. The cable linkage connects a forward trigger assembly to the OEM trigger and can have a 1:1 ratio of trigger movement between the forward trigger pull and the OEM trigger, or another ratio as determined by the linkage elements. The forward trigger assembly can be purely mechanical, or incorporate a servo and/or solenoid with a power source such as a battery to augment trigger pull by a trigger finger.

Magazine release apparatus and firearms including such magazine release apparatus are disclosed. An example bolt release for use with a firearm includes a first handle to protrude from a first side of the firearm and a second handle to protrude from a second side of the firearm. The first and second handles are integral. The first and second handles are to enable the bolt release to be operable from the first and second sides of the firearm. The bolt release includes a pivot axis adjacent the first side or the second side. The pivot axis is to enable the bolt release to be pivoted between a release position and a retained position. The bolt release to be biased toward the release position.
