Various components for artificial candles and other lighting devices are described that can be used to create a realistic flame effect in the devices. The devices include a flame element that extends upwardly from a housing. A light source can be disposed with respect to the flame element such that the flame element is illuminated. A variety of drive mechanisms could be disposed within the body of the device that can cause movement of the flame element with respect to the housing. The flame element can be coupled to a housing or mounting bracket of the device using various components to suspend the flame element within the housing.

Further, each hut comprises a side wall and a roof corresponding to the hut size of each hut. Further, the roof is attached to the side wall along a top edge of the side wall for forming a hut interior space. Further, the side wall of each hut comprises an opening leading into the hut interior space of each hut. Further, the side wall and the roof of each hut are comprised of coconut fronds.

Smart prayer rug

A system is provided including a processor, a memory, a wireless controller, and a prayer rug. The prayer rug includes a display screen, one or more pressure sensors, and one or more proximity sensors. The prayer rug may also include one or more speakers. The wireless controller is configured to change what is displayed on the display screen. The pressure sensors are configured to sense a change in pressure applied at a number of pressure points and output pressure information. The proximity sensors are configured to sense a distance away an object is from the one or more proximity sensors. The processor is configured to receive pressure information from the pressure sensors and proximity information from the proximity sensors and determine a prayer posture from the received pressure and proximity information. The processor may generate an alert if the determined prayer posture is detected as being incorrect.

The apparatus comprises a workpiece, a first slit at a proximity of an edge of a first rectangle of the workpiece, a second slit at a proximity of an edge of a second rectangle of the workpiece opposite to first rectangle, a first fastening member affixed to a third rectangle of the workpiece perpendicular to the first and second rectangles, and a second fastening member affixed to a fourth rectangle of the workpiece opposite of the third rectangle. The fourth rectangle adapted to fold over so that the first fastening member and the second fastening member may engage to lock the strap. The strap may be inserted through the first slit and the second slit and its end held in position when the fastening members are engaged. In an embodiment, the strap is of a phylactery.

The electronic device includes power and timing components that can be isolated or disconnected so that the device will not operate during specified times, such as high holy days. Different audio files are available for selection on a server, and the desired audio file can be selected using an application that is running on a separate device, such as a cell phone or table. Provisions can also be made for storage and playback of video files in response to a touch input.
