LENGTH MEASURING DEVICE
A length measuring device includes a carrier with a scale which extends longitudinally in a measuring direction. A scanning carriage for scanning a measuring graduation of the scale is longitudinally guided in the measuring direction, and, via a coupling, is rigidly coupled to a driver in the measuring direction and transversely thereto coupled to it in a flexible manner. The coupling includes a coupling element arranged between a first coupling point on the scanning carriage and a second coupling point on the driver. At the second coupling point, the coupling element is attached via a solid-body joint that is designed to carry the coupling element so as to be freely rotatable in relation to the driver about an axis of rotation which runs perpendicularly to a plane of the measuring graduation. The coupling element has a lower density than steel and/or a higher modulus of elasticity than steel.
ASSEMBLY, ADAPTER DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR MEASURING THE HEIGHT OF A FLANGE
The present disclosure provides an assembly, adapter device, and method that utilize a standard displacement gauge or the like, well known to those of ordinary skill in the art, to measure the height of a flange, such as a flange formed via bending a planar vehicle component with a given thickness and, thus, including a radius at the bottom interior of the flange. This assembly, adapter device, and method provide consistent measurements across components, operators, education and experience levels, etc. The adapter device is designed to engage the flange being measured in such a way that consistent engagement of the adapter device with the radius, and, thus, consistent engagement of the assembly with the flange, is provided for measurement.
INTEGRATED MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
A measurement system is presented configured for integration with a processing equipment for applying optical measurements to a structure. The measurement system comprises: a support assembly for holding a structure under measurements in a measurement plane, configured and operable for rotation in a plane parallel to the measurement plane and for movement along a first lateral axis in said measurement plane; an optical system defining illumination and collection light channels of normal and oblique optical schemes and comprising an optical head comprising at least three lens units located in the illumination and collection channels; a holder assembly comprising: a support unit for carrying the optical head, and a guiding unit for guiding a sliding movement of the support unit along a path extending along a second lateral axis perpendicular to said first lateral axis; and an optical window arrangement comprising at least three optical windows made in a faceplate located between the optical head at a certain distance from the measurement plane. The optical windows are aligned with the illumination and collection channels for, respectively, propagation of illuminating light from the optical head and propagation of light returned from an illuminated region to the optical head, in accordance with the normal and oblique optical schemes.
Method and coating system for coating cavity walls
The invention relates to a method for coating cavity walls, in particular cylinder bores of engine blocks. In the method, a coating is applied to a cavity wall using a coating lance. In addition, a cavity diameter is measured using a measuring apparatus. According to the invention, the method is characterized in that at least a plurality of diameter values of a first cavity are measured at different heights of the first cavity using the measuring apparatus, and in that a coating of variable thickness is applied to a wall of the first or a second cavity using the coaling lance, the thickness of said coating of variable thickness being dependent on the determined diameter values. The invention additionally describes a corresponding coating system.
Articulating probe head for measuring system
An articulating probe head for a measuring system comprising cooling elements. The cooling elements are modulated in response to the temperature of or the power dissipated in the probe head such that its temperature remains stable during operation.
Marking and measuring device
A marking and measuring device for assessing a need for a brake adjustment includes a shaft. A marking means is selectively couplable to a first end of the shaft, positioning a user to grasp the shaft proximate to a second end of the shaft and to manipulate the shaft so that the marking means leaves a mark on a push rod of a brake. A ruler is coupled to the shaft proximate to the second end. The shaft is configured to be grasped in the hand of the user proximate to the first end of the shaft, positioning the user to abut the second end to a brake cylinder so that the shaft is substantially parallel to the push rod. The ruler is configured to measure the distance traveled by the mark on the push rod when the brake is actuated to ascertain a need for a brake adjustment.
DEVICE FOR IDENTIFYING CENTER OF STRIKING FACE OF A WOOD-TYPE GOLF CLUB HEAD
A device and method for identifying a center of a striking face of a golf club head are disclosed. The center determining device includes a device body having a central opening defined through a first surface of said device body and a second surface opposite said first surface. A first dimension indicator including a pair of first indicator jaws and a second dimension indicator including a pair of second indicator jaws may be disposed on said device body. A first adjuster and a second adjuster are operable to adjust said first separation distance said pair of first indicator jaws and a second separation distance between said second indicator jaws. When the pair of first indicator jaws and the pair of second indicator jaws are equally spaced around the heel, toe, topline, and sole edges of the striking face, the central opening is aligned with the center of the striking face.
GROUND-FIXING SYSTEM FOR A SENSOR HOUSING
A ground-fixing system for a tire characteristics sensor housing (10) comprises: a fixing plate (1) comprising a plurality of recesses (2) of a given profile distributed over the surface of the fixing plate; and a plurality of fixing pins (3) of substantially corresponding profile, similarly distributed on a fixing face of said sensor housing (10), the shapes and dimensions of the recesses (2) and of the pins (3) for fixing being provided so as to allow, on the one hand, in a position of insertion of the pins, engagement of the latter in said recesses and, on the other hand, in a locking position of the pins, fixing of the sensor housing (10) on the fixing plate (1).
METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR UNIFORMED SURFACE MEASUREMENT
A system and a method for uniformed surface measurement are provided, in which a sensor is provided to perform measurements on a carrier in a polishing machine, and a measuring trajectory of the sensor on the carrier is adjusted by controlling the pivoting of a sensor carrier carrying the sensor and the rotation of a rotating platform in the polishing machine in order to achieve uniformed surface measurements of the carrier and real-time constructions of the surface topography. This allows the polishing state of the carrier to be monitored in real time, thereby improving the efficiency of the polishing process. A sensing apparatus for uniformed surface measurement is also provided.
