It is a principal goal of the present invention is to provide a uroflowmetry device for calculating uroflowmetry data (flow rate and other data) associated with urination sessions. The invention is an in-toilet uroflowmetry device, which unlike existing stand-alone and in-toilet devices is not touched by the urine stream, and un-like with existing in-toilet devices, the toilet is useable for all normal functions by men and women. The invention also provides new data not provided by existing uroflowmetry devices. The present invention is a device comprised of an electronic open loop belt with video cameras, a single-board computer (SBC), LEDs and various sensors to start the video cameras and control the LEDs. The video data is transferred wirelessly to a website where image processing is performed on the video data, followed by computations of flow rate and additional uroflowmetry data.

AUTOMATIC DISTANCE MEASUREMENT IN A FLOW CHANNEL

In measuring devices (1) including measuring sensors (2) on a distal end (3) of a shaft (4), it is also provided to configure at least one distance sensor (7, 8, 9) and/or an acceleration sensor (16) on this distal end (3), in order to enable an automatic distance measurement and/or determination of the position and/or the orientation of the measuring sensor (2) within a measuring range (6), and thus the recording of spatially resolved measured values.

Method and system for determination of liquid volumes

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for accurately determining the volume of liquid in a container, such as after or prior to a fluid transfer into/from the container. The volume of liquid flowing through a flow meter can be measured at multiple data intervals by a flow meter. Further, the height of a liquid inside the container can be measured by a liquid level sensor at the multiple data intervals. A register can receive data indicative of the respective measurements, and the volume of liquid in the container can be determined based on the relationship between data indicative of the measurement of the volume of liquid flowing through a flow meter at the multiple data intervals and the measurement of the height of a liquid inside the container at the multiple data intervals.

Sensor device for detecting at least one flow property of a fluid medium

A sensor device is provided for acquiring at least one flow property of a fluid medium. The sensor device includes at least one sensor housing. At least one electronics module, having at least one flow sensor for acquiring the flow property, is accommodated in the sensor housing. The electronics module is at least partly accommodated in an electronics compartment. In addition, at least one moisture sensor is accommodated inside the sensor housing. The sensor housing has at least one inlet opening for exposing the moisture sensor to a moisture of the fluid medium. The electronics compartment is sealed relative to the inlet opening.

Methods And Systems For Characterizing Fluids From A Patient

Methods for characterizing fluids from a patient. A time series of images of a conduit are received, and a conduit image region in the images is identified. A flow type of the fluids passing through the conduit may be classified as one of air, laminar liquid, and turbulent liquid by evaluating an air-liquid boundary of the fluid. A volumetric flow rate of the fluids in the conduit is estimated. The volumetric flow rate may be based on the classified flow type. A concentration of a blood component of the fluids passing through the conduit may be estimated based on the images. A proportion of the fluid that is blood may also be determined, and a volume of blood that has passed through the conduit within a predetermined period of time may be estimated based on the estimated total volumetric flow rate and the determined proportion.
