09767361 · 2017-09-19 · ·

Techniques for improving overhead image bathymetry include obtaining depth information from image data based on one or more of the spectral domain, the angular domain (e.g., stereo or photogrammetry), the temporal domain (e.g., monitoring the movement of waves in a body of water), or any other suitable domain, together with a priori information about the area of interest. These different pieces of depth information from the various different domains are combined together using any combination of Optimal Estimation and Continuity Constraints to improve the accuracy of the results.

Functional Diagnosis of an Electromechanical Fill State Measuring Device
20170254691 · 2017-09-07 ·

A method for the functional diagnosis of an electromechanical fill state measuring device in which a displacement element on a measuring wire is lowered into a filling material in a container such that in an equilibrium state, the weight of the displacement element minus a displacement element buoyancy, which depends upon at least one equilibrium volume, is determined to be equal to a resulting weight of the displacement element. The resulting weight is specified, and the specified resulting weight is kept constant by correspondingly changing the length of the measuring wire in the equilibrium state. The fill state of the filling material is ascertained using the length of the lowered measuring wire. In order to diagnose a function, the specified value of the equilibrium volume of the displacement element is changed, and the resulting change in the length of the measuring wire is ascertained on the basis of the constant equilibrium state of the resulting weight.

Method and Device for Detecting a Fuel Tank, and Server

A detection method used for a fuel tank, comprising: receiving a result of determining whether a constant-speed refueling condition is satisfied (S100); if determined that the constant-speed refueling condition is satisfied, then receiving detection parameters collected from a refueling terminal by means of a sensor according to a preset frequency (S102); and inputting the detection parameters into a preset shape determination model, and determining the shape of a staged fuel tank (S104). Thus, the technical problem of poor fuel tank metering management that is caused by the inability to detect different types of fuel tank shapes is solved.

Fluid volume determination enhanced by assessment of vehicle operative state

A method of determining a volume of a fluid in a reservoir arranged in a vehicle includes assessing, via a controller, whether a first sensor operatively connected to the reservoir and configured to detect a predetermined level of the fluid in the reservoir has been triggered. The method also includes detecting, via a second sensor, a vehicle operative state indicative of inclination of a free surface of the fluid in the reservoir. The method additionally includes communicating, via the second sensor, the detected vehicle operative state to the electronic controller and determining a degree of inclination of the free surface of the fluid in response to the detected vehicle operative state. Furthermore, the method includes determining, via the controller, the volume of the fluid in the reservoir when the first sensor has been triggered in response to the determined degree of inclination of the free surface of the fluid.
