Hydrocyclone vibration monitoring system and method
Disclosed is a hydrocyclone monitoring system. The hydrocyclone monitoring system comprises a hydrocyclone comprising a separation chamber having an inlet for feeding an input mixture into the separation chamber and first and second outlets for ejecting flows of 5 respective first and second components of the mixture from the separation chamber. The hydrocyclone monitoring system further comprises a conduit and a sensor assembly. The conduit is connected to the first outlet and defines a channel for conducting the flow of the first component ejected from the separation chamber. The sensor assembly is configured to detect characteristics of the flow of the first component in the channel. The hydrocyclone 10 monitoring system further comprises a processing system configured to receive from the sensor assembly measurement data indicative of the characteristics of the flow of the first component, and to determine a mode of operation of the hydrocyclone based on the measurement data. Also disclosed is a method of monitoring a hydrocyclone.
Method and apparatus to non-intrusively measure the weight of loose bulk material within a rigid containing structure
A method and system can measure the weight of a bulk material within a container by applying excitation in the form of vibrational energy and interpreting the container's response to the vibration.

METHOD FOR ASSESSING AN EXTERNAL EVENT ON AN AUTOMOTIVE GLAZING
A method for detection and analysis of an external event occurring on an automotive glazing that includes receiving a signal with characteristic information of at least one electrical signal resulting from an occurrence of the external event on the automotive glazing. The method further includes applying the signal with characteristic information to a computer-implemented classification model, where for each of one or more quantities related to the characteristic information, a prediction is made of a value of a parameter indicative of the external event. The method further includes deriving a decision on whether to replace or repair based on the value of the parameter from the predictions.
METHOD FOR MONITORING VIBRATIONS
The invention describes a method for monitoring vibrations produced by an operating area, comprising the following steps: (El): dividing an operating frequency range into a plurality of frequency sub-ranges; (E2): for each frequency sub-range, defining an associated vibration threshold; (E3): continuously acquiring vibration measurements produced by the operating area; (E4): periodically transmitting vibration data resulting from the vibration measurements, the vibration data being transmitted to a remote server (200) via an LPWAN network; (E5) detecting a vibration event corresponding to at least one vibration threshold being exceeded in the associated frequency sub-range; (E6): when a vibration event is detected, transmitting a warning to the remote server (200) via the LPWAN network.
Apparatus for analysing the condition of a machine having a rotating part
A method of operating an apparatus for analysing the condition of a machine having a part rotating with a speed of rotation, includes receiving a first digital signal dependent on mechanical vibrations emanating from rotation of the part, analyzing the first digital signal So as to detect peak amplitude values during a finite time period, the finite time period corresponding to a certain amount of revolution of the part, the certain amount of revolution corresponding to more than one revolution of the monitored rotatable part, defining amplitude ranges, sorting the detected peak amplitude values into corresponding amplitude ranges so as to reflect occurrence of detected peak amplitude values within the plurality of amplitude ranges, and estimating a representative peak amplitude value in dependence on the sorted peak amplitude values and the certain amount.

Determination of machine rotational speed from vibration spectral plots based on nominal speed
An apparatus is described that determines an estimated rotational speed of a rotating component of a machine in the absence of a reliable tachometer signal to indicate an actual rotational speed. The apparatus includes a processor that produces a spectral plot of the vibrational data, locates peaks in the spectral plot, and scans the spectral plot in predetermined rotational speed increments to provide candidate rotational speeds. For each candidate rotational speed, associated harmonics are identified, closest peaks in the spectral plot to the candidate rotational speed and its harmonics are located, gaps between the closest peaks and the candidate rotational speed and its harmonics are measured, and a sum of the gaps is recorded. The estimated rotational speed is the candidate rotational speed associated with a minimum sum of the gaps.
Failure diagnosis system
A failure diagnosis system includes a sensor that is provided in a diagnosis target device and detects diagnosis target information of the diagnosis target device, an abnormality determination unit that determines whether or not an abnormality occurs in the diagnosis target device based on the diagnosis target information detected by the sensor, a storage unit that stores a site of the diagnosis target device where the abnormality determination is possible and a sensor installation location where a sensor needs to be installed for the abnormality determination of the site, a designation reception unit that receives designation of a site where the abnormality determination is performed, and a presentation unit that executes predetermined presentation processing. The presentation processing by the presentation unit includes processing of presenting the sensor installation location where the sensor needs to be installed to perform the abnormality determination of the designated site.
