A system for determining the temperature of a voice coil of a speaker includes a first pre-emphasis filter which has an input coupled to receive a digitized current sense signal. The first pre-emphasis filter applies a gain to signal components at a selected frequency band and provides a pre-emphasized current sense signal. The system includes a second pre-emphasis filter which has an input coupled to receive a digitized voltage sense signal. The second pre-emphasis filter applies a gain to the signal components at the selected frequency band and provides a pre-emphasized voltage sense signal. The system includes a first quantizer module configured to map the pre-emphasized signal to a quantized current sense signal, and includes a second quantizer module configured to map the pre-emphasized voltage sense signal to a quantized voltage sense signal.

20210404666 · 2021-12-30 ·

A cooktop appliance includes a gas burner, a user input configured to define a power setting of the gas burner, and a grate. The grate includes a sensor finger with a temperature sensor mounted thereto. The temperature sensor includes a first temperature probe extending above a top surface of the sensor finger and a second temperature probe positioned within the sensor finger. The cooktop appliance also includes a controller in communication with the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is configured to transmit a first temperature measurement from the first temperature probe and a second temperature measurement from the second temperature probe to the controller. The controller is configured to determine a temperature of a cooking utensil positioned on the top surface of the sensor finger based on the power setting defined by the user input, the first temperature measurement, and the second temperature measurement.

A water delivery system includes a mixing valve operable for delivering a water flow of adjustable temperature from a water source to a dispensing device downstream from the mixing valve; a thermochromic thermal indicator, fluidly coupled between the mixing valve and the dispensing device, that provides a visible indication of the water flow having achieved a predetermined temperature; and a diverter valve, fluidly coupled between the mixing valve and the dispensing device, and operable to direct the water flow selectively either to the dispensing device or back to the water source. The thermal indicator may be a thermochromic PVC conduit, or it may be a fitting having an inlet, an outlet, a thermochromic PVC element therebetween, and a barrier located between the inlet and the outlet so as to define a flow path that includes an interior surface of the thermochromic element.

FINE-GRAINED INDOOR TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENTS USING SMART DEVICES FOR IMPROVED INDOOR CLIMATE AND ENERGY SAVINGS
20220146333 · 2022-05-12 ·

A method for fine-grained indoor temperature measurement includes receiving sensor data and activity telemetry data from one or more smart devices. Feature transformation is performed on the sensor data and activity telemetry data to a common latent feature space so as to reduce an influence of a domain of the one or more smart devices. Latent features resulting from the feature transformation on the sensor data and activity telemetry data is input into a machine learning model trained with features of the latent feature space and labeled ambient temperatures to predict an ambient temperature at a location of the one or more smart devices.

COOKTOP APPLIANCE WITH HERMETICALLY SEALED TEMPERATURE SENSOR

A cooktop appliance includes a panel with a burner disposed on the panel. A griddle plate is configured to be removably positioned over the burner. A hermetically sealed temperature sensor is embedded in the griddle plate. The temperature sensor includes a base, a probe extending from the base, a contact pad in the base, and a hermetic seal formed in the base.

Systems and methods for water detection

A system for detecting water in an environment includes a first sensor configured to provide first feedback indicative of a temperature of the environment, a second sensor configured to provide second feedback indicative of a humidity of the environment, and an electronic circuit having a processor configured to execute one or more instructions stored on a memory of the electronic circuit. The one or more instructions are configured to receive the first feedback from the first sensor, receive the second feedback from the second sensor, generate a risk score by comparing the first feedback and the second feedback to baseline data stored on the memory of the electronic circuit, and provide an indication of a water detection event when the risk score is equal to or exceeds a threshold value.

Cooktop appliance and sensor assembly for a griddle

A cooktop appliance or griddle assembly may include a cooking platter, a spring-loaded platform, and a sensor body. The cooking platter may define a top surface and a bottom surface. The spring-loaded platform may be mounted below the cooking platter. The sensor body may be attached to the spring-loaded platform in biased conductive engagement with bottom surface.

Dishwasher thermometer with wireless temperature logger and associated methods

A dishwasher thermometer captures temperature data of temperature sensed within a dishwasher during a wash cycle. The dishwasher thermometer includes a wireless communication interface that transmits the captured temperature data to one or more of a server and a monitor device. When the captured temperature data indicates that the wash cycle did not achieve defined temperature threshold(s), an alert is generated at the server and/or the monitor device indicating that the wash cycle did not meet appropriate washing conditions. In embodiments, the temperature data may be accessible to a third party for certification of the dishwasher wash cycle.

INTELLIGENT OVEN

Techniques for managing an intelligent oven are provided. In one example, an oven system can comprise a memory that stores computer executable components. The oven system can also comprise a processor, operably coupled to the memory, and that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components can comprise an oven management component that identifies a parameter of a completed bake based on a second parameter of a new bake and shares the parameter with an input device.
