PROXIMITY-BASED NAVIGATIONAL MODE TRANSITIONING

A non-transitory computer-readable medium includes instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform a method for providing visual navigation assistance in retail stores, which may include receiving a first indoor location of a user within a retail store; receiving a target destination; and providing first navigation data to the user through a first visual interface. The method may also include, after providing the first navigation data, receiving a second indoor location of the user within the retail store; determining that the second indoor location is within a selected area around the target destination, with the selected area not including the first indoor location; and, in response to the determination that the second indoor location is within the selected area around the target destination, providing second navigation data to the user through a second visual interface, where the second visual interface differs from the first visual interface.

Device and method for measuring a load applied by an elongate member

There is described a device, such as a wireholder, for measuring a load of an elongate member, such as a power line. The device includes a body, a load-bearing member, and a first sensor operable to measure a load applied to the load-bearing member in a first direction, for example a direction of sensitivity defined by the first sensor. The load-bearing member is movably coupled to the body such that the load-bearing member is displaced from a reference position as a function of a load applied to the load-bearing member in a second direction, such as a direction normal to the first direction. The device may further include a second sensor for measuring a displacement of the load-bearing member.

Disclosed in the present specification is a high-performance self-healing polymer cell electrolyte comprising ionic side branches. The polymer gel electrolyte comprises: a copolymer comprising an ionic domain and a non-ionic domain; and an ionic liquid, and having a plurality of ion clusters (ICs) formed as an ionic moiety of the ionic domain is bonded to the ionic liquid

Calibration determination device and calibration determination method for calibrating the tension of a bonding member

A calibration determination device includes: a free roll that conveys the bonding member; a load detection device that detects a load applied to a bearing of the free roll; a tension adjustment device that winds the bonding member to increase a tension applied to the bonding member and unwinds the bonding member to reduce the tension applied to the bonding member so as to adjust the tension applied to the bonding member; and a calibration determination unit that determines whether calibration of the load detection device is necessary. The tension adjustment device unwinds the bonding member to cause the bonding member not to be subjected to the tension, and the calibration determination unit determines whether the calibration of the load detection device is necessary based on the load detected by the load detection device with the bonding member not being subjected to the tension.

Strain gauge pattern to prevent variation due to temperature

A strain gauge includes first and second substrates spaced apart from one another. A first flexible printed circuit board portion is in contact with a top side of the first and second substrates, and has a first Wheatstone bridge formed therein. The first flexible printed circuit board portion positions the first Wheatstone bridge such that two resistors of the first Wheatstone bridge are positioned to span from the top side of the first substrate to the top side of the second substrate. A second flexible printed circuit board portion is in contact with a bottom side of the first and second substrates, and has a second Wheatstone bridge formed therein. The second flexible printed circuit board positions the second Wheatstone bridge such that two resistors of the second Wheatstone bridge are positioned to span from the bottom side of the first substrate to the bottom side of the second substrate.

The sensing circuit is (a) coupled to the first and second sensing elements and (b) arranged to sense at least one out of resistance and conductance of the first and second sensing elements to determine a magnitude and a location of a pressure applied on the first and second sensing elements along the longitudinal axes thereof.

PLUGGING FORCE TEST APPARATUS
20230273075 · 2023-08-31 ·

A test apparatus for verifying plugging force of an electrical component having sockets for receiving one or more corresponding plugs in a push fit arrangement. The test apparatus includes a load plate with a support surface orthogonal to first and a second axes. A holder retains the first electrical component on the load plate. A plurality of load cells supports the load plate at spaced locations. A plugging force applied to the first electrical component via the second electrical component is transferred to the plurality of load cells. A processor is provided for receiving load cell data corresponding to the force applied to each load cell respectively. The processor determines the magnitude of the plugging force and the location at which the plugging force is applied to the first electrical component relative to the first and second axes of the load plate.
