Appliance based tariff
An electronic sensing and allocation system is provided for a distributed water infrastructure containing a plurality of differing appliances. The system may receive, from at least one sensor upstream of the plurality of differing appliances, a plurality of signals indicative of water usage within the distributed water infrastructure. The system may output a first indication of a first volume of water together with an indicator attributing the first volume of water to a first rate schedule, and output a second indication of a second volume of water together with an indicator attributing the second volume of water to a second rate schedule. The system may enable billing of the first and second volumes of water to a consumer at differing rates based on differing uses.
Water heater with an integrated leak detection system
A water heater includes a tank assembly that defines an insulation cavity between an inner storage tank and an outer jacket. The water heater includes a bottom pad that supports the tank assembly thereon. The bottom pad is disposed in a bottom pan. Gaskets are disposed between the bottom pad and the bottom pan of the water heater. The bottom pad and at least one of the gaskets include apertures that are configured to internally route a leak sensor assembly of the water heater from the bottom pan to a controller of the water heater through the insulation cavity while preventing a leak of insulation material from the insulation cavity to the bottom pan. The water heater also includes a mounting bracket that is coupled to the inner storage tank to securely hold and route a portion of the leak sensor assembly disposed in the insulation cavity to the controller.
Method and system for diagnosing a vehicle oil leak
A method and a system of diagnosing a vehicle oil leak are capable of detecting an oil leak state of transmission oil on the basis of logic. The method includes an operating condition determination step of determining, by a controller, whether a minimum operating condition of a vehicle is satisfied. The minimum operating condition is required to normally generate a target line pressure by operating an EOP. The method includes a counting step of counting, by the controller, an operating time of the EOP when the minimum operating condition is satisfied and includes an oil leak diagnosis step of diagnosing, by the controller, an oil leak when the counted continuous operating time of the EOP is a permissible time or more.

Drainage tile inspection system
A remote inspection system for inspecting piping that includes: a vehicle configured to move through pipe; a lighting system mounted on the vehicle; a sensor mounted on the vehicle; a communication system on the vehicle; and a processor configured to assess an effective drainage coefficient of the inspected piping based on data gathered from the sensor.
Test device and calibrating method
A test device and a calibration method thereof are disclosed. The test device for calibrating a test equipment, which is used to test a waterproof level of an electronic apparatus, comprises: two plates, which are pressed against each other with pressure, wherein minor gap between the two plates are used as water leakage path.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CALIBRATING A LEAK TEST MACHINE FOR A MANUFACTURING LINE
Systems and methods for calibrating a leak test machine for a manufacturing line are provided. The leak test machine is configured to detect leakage defects in workpieces produced by the manufacturing line. The method involves operating at least one processor to: receive, from the leak test machine, defect data; receive, from at least one sensor, environmental data; update at least one predictive model using the defect data and the environmental data; receive, from the at least one sensor, current environmental data; determine at least one calibration setting for the leak test machine based on the at least one predictive model and the current environmental data, the at least one calibration setting compensating for an effect of the at least one current environment condition on the leak test machine; and test, with the leak test machine using the at least one calibration setting, at least one workpiece.
Fluid conduit with two-way communication
This disclosure relates to fluid conduit that incorporates sensors printed on an exterior wall of the fluid conduit configured to sense an operating parameter of the fluid conduit. A wireless communication device communicatively connected to the printed electronic material is configured to wirelessly transmit the operating parameter to a mobile device.
