The systems and methods may include a molecularly imprinted polymer film; a sensing material, wherein the molecularly imprinted polymer film comprises a polymer host with one or more binding sites for one or more target molecules. The molecularly imprinted polymer film may be coated upon the sensing material.
Calibrated dose control
Methods and vaporizer apparatuses that estimate, measure and/or predict the amount of vapor and/or material (including active ingredients) released by the vaporizer apparatus. In particular, described herein are electronic vaporizers and methods of using them that determine a dose/amount of vapor and/or a material in the vapor based primarily or exclusively on the electrical and thermal properties, e.g., power or energy applied to the vaporizing element (e.g., heating coil) and the temperature of the material immediately before and as it is vaporized. Dose information may be used to control operation of the device and/or reported to the user.
Methods for diagnosis of type 1 diabetes
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) patients make antibodies to self-proteins that are potential biomarkers for early detection and risk prediction. We have identified seventeen antigens as biomarkers for early diagnosis and risk prediction of T1D, including the antigens MLH1, MTIF3, PPIL2, NUP50, TOX4, FIGN, C9orf142, ZNF280D, HES1, QRFPR, CTRC, SNX6, SYTL4, ELA2A, IGRP, PAX6, and HMGN3.
Hydrogen sensor and preparation method therefor, and method for implementing hydrogen detection
A hydrogen sensor and preparation method therefor, and a method for implementing hydrogen detection based on the hydrogen sensor. The hydrogen sensor includes an elastomeric substrate and a hydrogen sensitive material-based nanostructure positioned on the elastomeric substrate, the surface of the elastomeric substrate close to the hydrogen sensitive material-based nanostructure has a nanoarray structure, and the hydrogen sensitive material-based nanostructure and the nanoarray structure are complementary to each other. In addition, the present disclosure provides a preparation method for the hydrogen sensor and a method for implementing hydrogen detection based on the hydrogen sensor.
Device, system, and method for providing a calibration fluid for the calibration and quality control of a respiratory gas analysis device
A device for providing a calibration fluid, in particular a nitrogen oxide, for calibrating a respiratory gas analysis device, includes a first interface for connecting a chamber of the device to a measurement path of the respiratory gas analysis device, a first opening for introducing a reactant carrier with a first reactant into the chamber, and a contact element. The contact element is arranged in the chamber relative to the first opening such that when the reactant carrier is introduced, a contact of the contact element with the reactant carrier is facilitated in order to trigger a chemical reaction of the first reactant so as to generate the calibration fluid. The disclosure further relates to a system, a reactant carrier, and a method for providing a calibration fluid for calibrating a respiratory gas analysis device.
Ratiometric vapor sensor
A ratiometric vapor sensor is described that includes a first sensor and a second sensor. The first sensor includes a first semiconductor component comprising a vapor-sensitive semiconducting organic compound, while the second sensor includes a second semiconductor component comprising a modified vapor-sensitive semiconducting organic compound including a modifying organic group. The ratiometric vapor sensor can be used to detect the presence of a vapor such as nitrogen dioxide, and determine the concentration of the vapor by comparing the outputs of electrodes connected to the first and second sensor.
Jig for pressing gas analysis monocell, and gas analysis device including same
A jig for pressing a gas analysis monocell according to the present invention comprises: a first plate and a second plate which face each other with a monocell therebetween; a first auxiliary pad positioned between the first plate and the monocell; and a second auxiliary pad positioned between the second plate and the monocell, wherein the first plate and the second plate are formed of a thermosetting resin. When analyzing a gas generated from the monocell during a primary charge, the jig for pressing the monocell according to the present invention presses the thin monocell to prevent a gap from forming between electrodes due to the primary charge, and thus has an effect of deriving more reliable analysis results.
System and method for operating a mold detecting device
A system for detecting mold includes a housing defining a chamber and an opening through a surface. The system includes a movable grate for selectively covering the opening. The system includes a substrate treated to promote mold growth. The system includes a mechanism for moving the substrate to move previously unexposed portions into the chamber. The system includes a thermal control system to maintain predetermined environmental conditions in the chamber. The system includes a sensor configured to detect mold growth in the chamber. The system includes a mold suppressor to kill mold in the chamber when activated. The system includes a controller to coordinate operation of the components to detect mold growth in an environment.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING ANNULAR FLUID LEVEL
A system for monitoring an annular fluid level may include a floating element disposed on a surface of a drilling fluid within an annulus of the well, during mud cap drilling operations. The system may also include an antenna disposed above the floating element. The antenna may be configured to transmit a first signal to the floating element, and to receive a second signal from the floating element in response to the first signal. The system may also include a processor configured to determine a time value that measures a time between a transmittal, by the antenna, of the first signal and a receipt, by the antenna, of the second signal. The processor may also determine a state of a drilling fluid level within the annulus based on the time value, and update a drilling program for the well based on the state of the drilling fluid level.
Laser-based monitoring tool
An example CO.sub.2 monitoring systems is configured for monitoring levels of CO.sub.2 in a wellbore. A CO.sub.2 monitoring system may include one or more laser monitoring tools. A laser monitoring tool may include an optical element to output a laser beam, a detector to receive the laser beam, a first chamber housing the optical element and detector, and a second chamber including an inlet and an outlet receive and release, respectively, wellbore fluid. The first chamber may be in fluid connection with second chamber via a gas permeable membrane. Gas may permeate from second chamber into first chamber. Gas in the first chamber is subjected to a laser beam. Absorption of light by the gas is measured, and content of gas is determined based at least in part on the amount of light absorption by the gas.
