Systems and methods for detecting and assessing distracted drivers
Methods and devices for identifying a driver of a vehicle are provided. Embodiments collect vehicle and driving data using a mobile device of a user. The collected data may be used to estimate whether a user of the mobile device is a driver or a passenger in a vehicle. Data collected using the mobile device may be analyzed to determine when the user is engaging in distracted driving behavior.
USING RANGING OVER C-V2X TO SUPPLEMENT AND ENHANCE GPS PERFORMANCE
On-hoard equipment in a motor vehicle includes a C-V2X communication device receiving a first signal from road side equipment having a known position. The C-V2X communication device transmits a second signal having content that is dependent upon a length of time in which the first signal traveled from the road side equipment to the C-V2X communication device. A GPS device is communicatively coupled to the C-V2X communication device and receives the second signal from the C-V2X communication device. The GPS device estimates a position of the vehicle. The estimating is dependent upon the second signal from the C-V2X communication device.

Personal items network, and associated methods
A personal items network, comprising a plurality of items, each item having a wireless communications port for coupling in network with every other item, each item having a processor for determining if any other item in the network is no longer linked to the item, each item having an indicator for informing a user that an item has left the network, wherein a user may locate lost items. A method for locating lost personal items, comprising: linking at least two personal items together on a network; and depositing one or both of time and location information in an unlost item when one of the items is lost out of network.

Method and apparatus for positioning via unmanned aerial vehicles
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a positioning system for use with a corresponding one of a plurality of UAVs, the positioning system operable to receive at least one Low Bit Rate (LBR) signal that includes satellite location data from at least one satellite via a receiver of the UAV. Current location data is generated based on the at least one LBR signal. A global positioning system (GPS) signal is generated based on the current location data for transmission, via a transmitter of the UAV, for reception by a GPS receiver. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Object recognition and tracking using a real-time robotic total station and building information modeling
An object recognition and positioning system that employs real-time location, a robotic total station, and a building information model in a single, transparent system that delivers object positioning, recognition, tracking, and operation.
