High-density energy directing devices for two-dimensional, stereoscopic, light field and holographic displays
Disclosed are high-density energy directing devices and systems thereof for two-dimensional, stereoscopic, light field and holographic head-mounted displays. In general, the head-mounted display system includes one or more energy devices and one or more energy relay elements, each energy relay element having a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is disposed in energy propagation paths of the one or more energy devices and the second surface of each of the one or more energy relay elements is arranged to form a singular seamless energy surface. A separation between edges of any two adjacent second surfaces is less than a minimum perceptible contour as defined by the visual acuity of a human eye having better than 20/40 vision at a distance from the singular seamless energy surface, the distance being greater than the lesser of: half of a height of the singular seamless energy surface, or half of a width of the singular seamless energy surface.
Lens attachment for a high etendue modular zoom lens
A lens attachment module is configured for coupling with a zoom module of a finite conjugate optical assembly. The lens attachment module includes a lens assembly that has a positive focal length, and exhibits a pupil size of between 16 and 25 mm and a pupil depth greater than 50 mm.
Eyepiece lens and optical apparatus
An eyepiece lens consists of a first lens group including a cemented lens, a second lens group consisting of one negative lens, and a third lens group consisting of a plurality of positive lenses in order from an object side to an eye side. The eyepiece lens satisfies Conditional Expression: −1.2<f/f2<−0.8 related to a focal length f of an entire system and a focal length f2 of the second lens group.
User wearable fluorescence enabled visualization system
A user-wearable fluorescence based visualization system comprising a multi-light lamp assembly that provides for the selected output of light using multiple light emitting sources, wherein the outputted light may be tailored to generate response wavelength by the interaction of the emitted light and a tissue illuminated by the emitted light, through the process of fluorescence, and a viewing system that allows a practitioner view the fluorescent light generated by the tissue, and distinguish between healthy and diseased tissues.
Freeform optical substrates in waveguide displays
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to methods of forming a substrate having a target thickness distribution at one or more eyepiece areas across a substrate. The substrate includes eyepiece areas corresponding to areas where optical device eyepieces are to be formed on the substrate. Each eyepiece area includes a target thickness distribution. A base substrate thickness distribution of a base substrate is measured such that a target thickness change can be determined. The methods described herein are utilized along with the target thickness change to form a substrate with the target thickness distribution.
APPARATUS FOR OPTICAL SEE-THROUGH HEAD MOUNTED DISPLAY WITH MUTUAL OCCLUSION AND OPAQUENESS CONTROL CAPABILITY
The present invention comprises a compact optical see-through head-mounted display capable of combining, a see-through image path with a virtual image path such that the opaqueness of the see-through image path can be modulated and the virtual image occludes parts of the see-through image and vice versa.
EYEPIECE OPTICAL STRUCTURE, EYEPIECE SYSTEM AND OPTICAL DEVICE
The present invention relates to an eyepiece optical structure, an eyepiece system and an optical device. The structure includes a lens group T1 on which an optical binary surface pattern and a Fresnel surface pattern distributed in a direction from a human eye viewing side to a display device side are arranged. The lens group T1 has a focal length of F, and a clear aperture of D, and F and D satisfy the following relational expression: 1.9 ≤ F/D. The optical binary surface pattern has a focal length of F2, and F and F2 satisfy the following relational expression: -120 < F2/F < 10.78. In the present invention, a combination of the novel optical surface pattern and the Fresnel surface pattern is adopted, and the focal length of each lens and lens group achieves great elimination of system aberration under the condition of meeting specific conditions.
Reflective eyepiece optical system and head-mounted near-to-eye display device
The present invention relates to a reflective eyepiece optical system and a head-mounted near-to-eye display apparatus. The system includes: a first lens group, and a first optical element and a second lens group for transmitting and reflecting a light from a miniature image displayer. The second lens group includes an optical reflection surface, and the optical reflection surface is an optical surface farthest from a human eye viewing side in the second lens group. The optical reflection surface is concave to a human eye viewing direction. The first optical element reflects the light refracted by the first lens group to the second lens group, and then transmits the light refracted, reflected, and refracted by the second lens group to the human eye.
