Eyewear and lenses with multiple molded lens components
Certain embodiments disclosed herein include lenses for eyewear with a molded wafer and a molded clear resin lens component integrated onto a surface of the molded wafer. The molded wafer can include an optical filter that enhances one or more properties of filtered light. The optical filter can be, for example, a contrast-enhancing, color-enhancing, and/or chroma-enhancing filter. The clear resin lens component can be shaped such that the lenses have optical power. In some embodiments, the molded wafer is integrated onto a surface of a polarizing wafer.
Ophthalmic progressive addition lens for a farsighted and presbyopic wearer; method for providing such a lens
An ophthalmic progressive addition lens for a farsighted and presbyopic wearer having a mean refractive power, PPO(α, β), a module of resulting astigmatism, ASR(α, β), an acuity loss value ACU(α, β), wherein the (α, β) functions are determined in as-worn conditions of the lens by the wearer, and a first acuity criterion, AcuityCriterion1 which fulfils following requirement: AcuityCriterion1≥44 D.sup.2.deg, and wherein: AcuityCriterion1 is defined as a combination of PPO(α, β), ASR(α, β), ADD.sub.p, and ACU(α, β).
ADJUSTABLE EYEWEAR RESTRAINTS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
An adjustable eyewear restraint comprises a first strap having a first adjustment end and a first eyewear coupling end, and a second strap having a second adjustment end and a second eyewear coupling end. The straps are slidably and frictionally engageable to one another to allow adjustment of a length of the restraint by moving adjustment ends of the straps relative to each other. The straps can be slidably interwoven to each other about opening(s) of respective adjustment ends. The opening(s) slidably receive an opposing strap. A strap has a loop, coupleable to eyewear, that comprises first and second edges attached together to form an attachment portion substantially in-line with the first edge. A frictional element is frictionally and slidably coupleable to an earpiece to retain the loop and allow adjustment of a length of an eyewear retainer. Associated systems and methods are provided.
Rotationally stabilized contact lens with improved comfort and improved stabilization utilizing optimized stiffness profiles
The invention provides an improved rotationally stabilized contact lens design and method of designing such a lens which minimizes stabilization time of the lens while maximizing the lens on-eye comfort. The lens and the method of designing the lens further improves upon an earlier method which utilizes and combines non-circularity and thickness differential aspects which results in equivalent or minimized stabilization time, ease of insertion and manufacturability as well as maximum comfort that is improved over that of what either aspect can achieve independently. This further improvement of stiffness profile is achieved by optimizing and selectively addressing thickness differential both diametrically and circumferentially in a non-round lens design.
System to secure glasses to hat
A system is provided to secure a pair of glasses to a hat, the system including a hatband insert configured to be inserted in a hatband of a hat, one or more hatband magnetic members configured to be selectively attachable to a plurality of locations of the hatband insert, and one or more glasses magnetic members configured to be attached to each temple of a pair of glasses, wherein the one or more hatband magnetic members and the one or more glasses magnetic members are configured to be magnetically attached to selectively secure the glasses to the hat.
OPEN VIEW, MULTI-MODAL, CALIBRATED DIGITAL LOUPE WITH DEPTH SENSING
A digital loupe system is provided which can include a number of features. In one embodiment, the digital loupe system can include a stereo camera pair and a distance sensor. The system can further include a processor configured to perform a transformation to image signals from the stereo camera pair based on a distance measurement from the distance sensor and from camera calibration information. In some examples, the system can use the depth information and the calibration information to correct for parallax between the cameras to provide a multi-channel image. Ergonomic head mounting systems are also provided. In some implementations, the head mounting systems can be configurable to support the weight of a digital loupe system, including placing one or two oculars in a line of sight with an eye of a user, while improving overall ergonomics, including peripheral vision, comfort, stability, and adjustability. Methods of use are also provided.
Eyeglasses retainer headband
A headband for securing eyeglasses on the head of a wearer may include adjustable cords secured to the temple arms of the eyeglasses. Distal ends of the cords may form end loops that fit over the temple arms and movably attach the headband to the temple arms for positioning the eyeglasses on the head of the wearer to relieve any pain and pressure on the wearer's nose and ears. Slide connectors may be manipulated to position and tighten the end loops of the pair of cords about the temple arms.
FLEXIBLE MASK WITH CORRECTIVE LENSES
A flexible mask includes a body portion and a head strap portion to hold the body portion over a user's eyes. The body portion includes lenses aligned with the user's eyes to aid the user's vision and includes cover elements that are movable to cover and uncover the lenses as desired.
Head-mounted display with adjustment mechanism
A head-mounted display to be worn by a user includes a housing, and an eye chamber to be positioned adjacent to eyes of the user. A support assembly includes a headband and an adjustment mechanism that is operable to change fit of the headband relative to the head of the user in response to a control signal, wherein the adjustment mechanism includes a feedback component, and the control signal is generated based on output from the feedback component.
MOUNTING TOOL
The present disclosure relates to a mounting tool that makes it possible to sense the position or the orientation of the head in a natural state without impairing the wearing feeling or the appearance. The nose pad of the glasses comes into contact with and fixes the nose, which is the frontal region of the user, an ear hook including an insertion portion that allows the temple of the glasses to be inserted and fixed comes into contact with and fixes an ear, the occipital region fixing unit configured integrally with the ear hook comes into contact with and fixes the occipital region while holding the sensor device that detects the position and the orientation of the head of the user, the occipital region upper portion fixing unit comes into contact with and fixes the occipital region, an insertion portion that allows the temple of the glasses to be inserted is provided, and the occipital region upper portion is fixed.
