A paper humidifying device includes: a pair of humidifying rollers configured to apply moisture to paper when the paper is sandwiched and conveyed; a water feed roller configured to supply moisture to an outer peripheral surface of the pair of humidifying rollers; a dewatering unit configured to wipe off moisture on the outer peripheral surface of the pair of humidifying rollers; a first drive unit configured to cause the water feed roller to be separated from or abut on the pair of humidifying rollers; a second drive unit configured to cause the dewatering unit to be separated from or abut on the pair of humidifying rollers; and a control unit configured to control the first drive unit and the second drive unit.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
An image forming device (100) includes a reading section (10), a conveyance section (20), an operation display section (110), storage (170), and a controller (160). The reading section (10) reads an image of a document to generate image data. The conveyance section (20) conveys the document to the reading section (10). The operation display section (110) displays an operation screen. The storage (170) stores therein first image data (171) of at least one page of the document read by the reading section (10) before a jam of the document occurs in the conveyance section (20). The controller (160) controls the operation display section (110) to display second image data (172) in association with the first image data (171). The second data (172) is image data of a page of the document read by the reading section (10) after resumption of conveyance of the document on the occasion of occurrence of the jam. The page corresponds to the at least one page that has been already read.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a main housing, a drawer, and a cartridge. The drawer is movable between an inside position inside the main housing and an outside position outside the main housing. The cartridge is installable into and removable from the drawer. The cartridge includes a photosensitive drum configured to rotate about a drum axis. The drawer comprises a lock member movable between a lock position in which the drawer is locked to the main housing, and an unlock position in which the drawer is unlocked from the main housing. The cartridge installed in the drawer is rotatable about the drum axis between a first position and a second position. The lock member is positioned in the lock position when the cartridge is positioned in the first position, and positioned in the unlock position when the cartridge is positioned in the second position.

[SOLUTION] A cartridge includes a photosensitive drum and a coupling. the coupling includes a main body and a movable member movable relative to the main body. The movable member includes an engaging portion which is capable of entering between a driving force application member and a braking force application member by the movement relative to the main body. The movable member receives a driving force for rotating the photosensitive drum, from the driving force application member and also receives a braking force applying a load against rotation of the photosensitive drum, from the braking force application member.
REUSABLE MEDIA PACKAGING FOR IMAGING DEVICE
A reusable media shell has a frame to hold sheets of media in an interior. A removable cap connects to the frame and its manipulation unveils the media for picking by an imaging device. The cap resides on a terminal end of the frame so the frame covers a majority of the media. A lift plate in the interior forces upward the sheets for picking. Two magnets on the frame magnetically secure the frame to magnets in a base of the imaging device and position the sheets in the base. Upstanding walls, a lid and bottom define the interior of the frame. Inserts attached to the walls allow adjustment to accommodate various sizes of the media.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
An image forming device is provided. The image forming device includes: a conveyance unit that conveys a continuous paper, an image forming unit that forms an image on a continuous paper conveyed by the conveyance unit, a job selection unit that selects a job to be executed, and a processor that calculates an image forming distance and indicates the calculated image forming distance on a display. The image forming distance is a length in a conveyance direction of the continuous paper needed to execute the selected job.

A discharging method used in an image forming apparatus includes discharging, with an exposure device, an exposure range of the latent image bearer, and discharging, with a discharger, an area of the latent image bearer outside the exposure range and inside a developing range in a main scanning direction. The exposure range is inside the developing range in the main scanning direction. The discharging with the exposure device and the discharging with the discharger are performed when a rotation of the latent image bearer is stopped after a toner image is transferred from the latent image bearer.
