Information processing apparatus having operation panel that has display function and accepts operation from user, control method therefor, and storage medium storing control
An information processing apparatus that is capable of managing information about operations preceding start of usage of a function while associating with information about operations performed between the start and end of usage of the function. The information processing apparatus includes an operation panel, a display control unit, and a recording unit. The operation panel has a display function and accepts an operation from a user. The display control unit controls the operation panel so as to display an operation object that causes to execute a predetermined function on a screen of the operation panel. The recording unit records information about events concerning operations performed between start and end of the predetermined function and information about an event preceding the start of the predetermined function into a storage unit while associating them to each other.
Methods, apparatus, and systems for improving printing precision
Various embodiments disclose a method for operating a printer apparatus that includes a print head. The method includes causing a media hub to retract a media in a retract direction along a media path. Further, the method includes causing a first media sensor to generate a first signal during retraction of the media. Furthermore, the method includes monitoring the first signal to detect at least one of a leading edge or a trailing edge of a label of the plurality of labels. Upon detecting the at least one of the leading edge or the trailing edge of the label, causing the media hub to retract the media by at least a predetermined distance, wherein the predetermined distance is a distance between the print head and the first media sensor.
Iterative quantum amplitude estimation
Systems, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products to facilitate iterative quantum amplitude estimation are provided. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a memory that stores computer executable components and a processor that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components can comprise an iterative quantum amplitude estimation component that increases a multiplier value of a confidence interval in an estimation problem to a defined value that positions the confidence interval in a defined plane of a defined circle. The computer executable components can further comprise a measurement component that captures a quantum state measurement of a qubit in a quantum circuit based on the defined value.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF EARLY TERMINATION OF LAYER PROCESSING IN AN ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK
A novel and useful system and method of early termination for use in an artificial neural network (ANN). An NN processor incorporates the early termination mechanism that provides the capability of terminating a compute graph in a data flow architecture, e.g., an ANN, earlier than its predefined planned execution. This serves to improve both power consumption and sometimes latency considering the additional operations that are not performed when the network is terminated early. The early termination mechanism is implemented partly in the SDK/compiler offline at compile time and partly at runtime in the NN processor. During compile time, the weights of the neural network are sorted first by output function and then by input function. In operation, the LCU receives feedback from the MAC units in the processing elements (PEs) and if saturation in the MAC outputs is detected and crosses a threshold, it means the calculations performed until that point are sufficient and that additional calculations are not likely to change the results significantly. Thus, early termination for that layer can be triggered thereby saving power and improving latency.
Method and system for failure prediction using lubricating fluid analysis
Methods and systems for failure prediction using analysis of oil or other lubricant. Raw data about feature(s) of each of a plurality of particles filtered from a fluid sample are used to categorize each particle into one of a plurality of categories, each category being defined by one or more of: chemical composition, size and morphology. Particle physical characteristics in each category are quantified to obtain a set of categorized data. The categorized data are compared with historical data. Results of the comparing are evaluated to generate a prediction of any failure or mechanism of failure.

System-on-a-Chip (SoC) Architecture for Low Power State Communication
An apparatus to facilitate a system-on-a-chip (SoC) architecture for low power state communication is disclosed. The apparatus includes a low power state fabric to provide a low power state path that avoids compute processing resources of the apparatus, and a low power state agent circuitry communicably coupled to the low power state fabric to update, in response to initiation of a low power state in the apparatus, a configuration of routers of the low power state fabric to utilize the low power state path provided by the low power state fabric, and to route memory transactions to the low power state path while the apparatus is in the low power state.
Embedded Processor Supporting Fixed-Function Kernels
A method and apparatus for embedding a microprocessor in a programmable logic device (PLD), where the microprocessor has a logic unit that can operate in two modes. A first mode is a general purpose mode running at least one general purpose process related to the PLD, and a second mode is a fixed function mode emulating a fixed function for use by logic configured into a fabric of the PLD (fabric). A memory unit is coupled to the logic unit and to the fabric, and the fabric is operable for transferring signals with the logic unit in relation to the fixed function.
