Aggregator of identification devices
A personal identification device for physical access control systems, including: at least one reader capable of reading data from an identification badge, the data including at least identification data; a processing unit; a data storage member; at least one wireless communication module; and an internal battery arranged to supply power to the components of the device. The processing unit is arranged for: acquiring data from at least one identification badge by way of the reader; storing the acquired data in the data storage member; if the acquired data are encrypted, decrypting the data; and transmitting at least a portion of the acquired data, via the wireless communication module and on request from a reader external to the device.
AUTOMATIC CARD CONNECTION METHOD, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
An automatic card connection method. The method comprises: when an Android device scans an NFC card to be tested, obtaining a carried tag; receiving an intent request sent by the tag; determining, on the basis of an Intent publishing system, an activity for processing the intent request of the tag; processing the intent request according to the determined activity to obtain an intent request result; searching for application programs installed in the device to obtain application programs matched with the intent request result; starting a target application program according to the selection of a user; calling a fourth preset method to obtain a tag value of said NFC card; and performing data communication connection with said NFC card on the basis of the tag value. According to the present invention, after the user selects the required target application program, data communication between the NFC card and the target application program is directly achieved, the communication fluency and the communication efficiency are improved, and the use experience of the user is improved.
CARD READER AND FOREIGN OBJECT DETECTION METHOD FOR CARD READER
A card reader includes a card conveyance path comprising upper and a lower conveyance paths to convey a card inserted into a device; and a reading unit that reads information on the card. Lower concave and convex portions are provided on an upper surface of the lower conveyance path behind the reading unit. Upper concave and convex portions are provided on a lower surface of the upper conveyance path to be fitted to the lower concave and convex portion. A pressing unit provides a fitted state of the lower and upper concave and convex portions when no object is present. A detection sensor detects a state where an interval between the lower and upper concave and convex portions is widened. The detection sensor detects the state where the interval is widened, to recognize that an object is inserted between the lower and upper concave and convex portions.
IC CARD INCLUDING REGISTERED BIOMETRIC INFORMATION AND REGISTERED PIN INFORMATION, OPERATION METHOD THEREOF, AND OPERATION METHOD OF CARD READER COMMUNICATING WITH IC CARD
Disclosed is a method of operating an integrated circuit (IC) card that is configured to communicate with a card reader and includes registered biometric information and registered PIN information. The method includes determining whether biometric information received from a user and the registered biometric information on the IC card match, in response to determining that the biometric information and the registered biometric information do not match, outputting to the card reader, a first response indicating a biometric verification fail, determining whether PIN information received from the card reader and the registered PIN information on the IC card match responsive to receiving a PIN verification request from the card reader that was based on the first response indicating the biometric verification fail, and outputting to the card reader a second response indicating whether the PIN information and the registered PIN information match.
Usage, condition and location tag and system
A Usage, Condition and Location System (UCLS) tag is provided, which is an active RFID tag that, in addition to location, is configured to determine the usage state and operating condition of a device. The UCLS tag includes sensors that measure physical activity of the associated equipment (vibration, magnetic activity, temperature, etc.). Algorithms may use the information obtained from the UCLS tags to map the measured sensor data to a contextual usage state and operating condition of the device.
Method of managing an output power delivered by an antenna of a NFC apparatus and NFC apparatus
In an embodiment, a method of managing an output power delivered by an antenna of a NFC apparatus includes: providing a matching circuit with a first tuning capacitive network coupled in series between a NFC controller and the antenna and with a second tuning capacitive network coupled to the NFC controller and the antenna and to a reference terminal, wherein the first or second tuning capacitive network has a variable capacitive value; determining tuning capacitive values of the first tuning capacitive networks to adjust a delivered output power at a desired level; and setting the tuning capacitive values of the first tuning capacitive network to the tuning capacitive values.
Image forming apparatus for automatic registration of users using an IC card to login
An image forming apparatus comprising a display and a reader that reads an IC card. The image forming apparatus performs settings for user authentication and displays on the display a menu screen for selecting a function of the image forming apparatus. In a case where in user authentication by the IC card and automatic registration of user information are set in the settings, a user of an IC card is able to log in the image forming apparatus using information of the IC card when the reader detects the IC card of the user.
MEAL SERVICE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND OPERATING METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a meal service management system and an operating method therefor, the system being capable of providing information on food ingested by a user to whom a meal service is to be provided and customized information related thereto, and managing food leftover in a meal service. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a scanner device is used such that a user to whom a meal service is to be provided and a food tray before and after meals are identified, and thus a meal service amount and a leftovers food amount are acquired, and leftovers food information of each user and useful information associated therewith are provided on the basis of the same, and thus users can easily determine their eating habits, nutritional status and the like and the users can be induced to attempt reducing leftovers food by themselves.
PAYMENT TERMINAL SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A payment terminal, including: a display, an input device configured to generate input signals indicative of a user input, a payment instrument reader configured to receive payment instrument data from a financial payment instrument, a secure processor connected to the payment instrument reader, a main processor connected to the display, the main processor separate and distinct from the secure processor, a secure input processor connected to the input device and the secure processor, wherein the secure processor is operable between an unsecured mode, wherein the secure processor sends input coordinates based on the input signals received from the secure input processor to the main processor; and a secured mode, wherein the secure input processor ceases input coordinate forwarding to the main processor.
Materials handling vehicle operating system comprising remedial indicator tags
A materials handling vehicle operating system is provided comprising a tag layout where a plurality of entry/exit tag sets are arranged along a travel path at different ones of the entry/exit thresholds of a restricted navigation zone. Each entry/exit tag set comprises a release tag, a restriction tag, and an indicator tag. The indicator tag is positioned between the restriction tag and the restricted navigation zone. The restriction tag is positioned between the release tag and the indicator tag. The tag reader and the reader module cooperate to compare identified tag data with stored tag data and initiate a remediation operation when an indicator tag is identified in place of a restriction tag. Tag layouts for one-way and two-way travel into and out of a restricted navigation zone are also contemplated.
