20230079849 · 2023-03-16 · ·

An image forming apparatus forms a color image on a recording medium by superimposing images of colors formed by image forming units. The apparatus includes a processor that: acquires a read image by reading the recording medium on which the color image has been formed; forms a register patch outside a job image forming region of the recording medium; and corrects image forming positions of the image forming units based on the read image that includes the register patch. The register patch includes: a leading end patch and a rear end patch formed with a reference color material; and one or more measurement target color patches formed with measurement target color materials between the leading end patch and the rear end patch. The hardware processor corrects the image forming positions based on relative positions of the leading end patch, the rear end patch, and the measurement target color patches.

The processor is configured to generate print data for an image including a first region with first information and a second region with a first code symbol and a second code symbol each representing the first information but being of different sizes. The processor controls the printer interface to transmit the print data to the label printer. The label printer is connectable to the printer interface and configured to print the image on a label based on the print data received through the printer interface symbol.

IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

An image processing apparatus comprises a generation unit configured to generate correction information for reducing density change in image formation using a printing material including a plurality of colors. The generation unit generates correction information, sequentially in ascending order from a region of a smaller number of printing materials in a read-out image acquired by reading an image formed using a printing material including a plurality of colors, the correction information corresponding to a printing material for which correction information has not been generated among the printing materials used for the region.

CONTROL DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM

A control device includes a first control substrate including a processor and a communication interface; and a second control substrate including a processor and a communication interface. The first control substrate and the second control substrate are connected through the communication interfaces. When occurrence of an error in data communication through the communication interfaces is detected, at least one of the processor of the first control substrate and the processor of the second control substrate performs the data communication using unused signal lines among signal lines provided in the communication interfaces.

Computer-readable medium, information processing device, and method for rearranging image data

A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores computer-readable instructions executable by a processor of an information processing device that includes a user interface and a display. The instructions are configured to, when executed by the processor, cause the information processing device to accept, via the user interface, an operation to specify a rearrangement condition for a plurality of pieces of image data to be obtained, obtain image data of a single sheet, determine an arrangement order for arranging first image data and second image data in accordance with the rearrangement condition specified by the accepted operation, the first image data being image data of one or more sheets obtained earlier than the second image data, the second image data being the image data of the single sheet, and display, on the display, images contained in the first image data and the second image data, to be arranged in the determined arrangement order.

On-vehicle authentication system, communication device, on-vehicle authentication device, communication device authentication method and communication device manufacturing method

A communication device stores a first secret key and a first public key, and the on-vehicle authentication device stores a second secret key, a second public key and a signature verification key. The on-vehicle authentication device acquires the first public key, verifies the authenticity of the electronic signature using a signature verification key, encrypts the second public key using the authentic first public key and transmits the encrypted second public key. The communication device receives the encrypted second public key, decrypts the encrypted second public key using the first secret key, encrypts the first public key using the decrypted second public key. The on-vehicle authentication device receives the encrypted first public key, decrypts the encrypted first public key using the second secret key, and authenticates that the communication device is an authentic device when the decrypted first public key has been determined to be authentic.

METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR APPLYING HYBRID INK LIMITS IN ICC PROFILE CREATION

A hybrid ink limit is applied during the creation of an ICC profile. The hybrid ink limit takes into account a percentage total area coverage (TAC) ink limit and a volume-based ink limit. The percentage TAC ink limit is specified using an input from an operator. The volume-based ink limit is retrieved based upon the media for the ICC profile. Both ink limits are applied to primary color combinations for color patches to be printed in a test chart used to capture measurement data to create the ICC profile. A combination of primary colors at exceeds either ink limit is adjusted to meet the ink limit. The adjusted combination is used in the test chart to generate the measurement data for the ICC profile. After creation of the ICC profile, the volume-based ink limit is applied to the ICC profile color combinations to identify those combinations still over the ink limit.

PRINTER APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRINTING PAGES SPACED AT LESS THAN THE PRINTHEAD WIDTH

A printer and a method for printing of pages on a continuous media, such as labels, with any desired or practical spacing using fixed head printheads that have spacing limitations for printing pages on the continuous media. The printer can be configured to detect a top of form mark on the continuous media as it is moved through a media path in the printer and initiating printing of an image on an adjacent page or label at the position indicated by the top of form mark.

METHOD FOR USING A PAPER CATALOG MAP WITH A PAPER CATALOG FOR PRINTING OPERATIONS

A color printing system includes a printing device and other components that use color printing resources, such as calibration and ICC profiles, to complete color printing operations. These color printing resources are used for a large number of paper types stored in a paper catalog. The paper types can be further placed into paper groups within the paper catalog. The paper groups may be formed by assigning new papers into the paper catalog to those having paper types with existing calibration data and ICC profiles. These relationships are shown in a paper catalog map. The print shop can use the paper catalog map for selling paper types, providing different capabilities for paper types, and other information.
