Paperless venue entry and location-based services
When attending an event at a venue, the attendee typically presents ticket information that is scanned by a venue scanner. In conventional systems, once validated, the scanner prints a paper stub that typically includes seat location data. Production of this paper stub can be dispensed with, and the associated data conveyed by the paper stub as well as additional information not contemplated or possible with paper stubs can be conveyed by an electronic stub or e-stub that resides on a device of the attendee, generally the same device employed to present the ticket information.

Use management system for moving body
A use management system comprises a moving body on which a user rides; a storage medium and an information processing apparatus, wherein the medium stores identification, a predetermined route and movement information, and the moving body includes a first reader/writer for acquiring information from the storage medium and records information onto the storage medium, starts recording the movement information regarding the moving body when the use of the moving body is started, records the movement information when the moving body deviates from the route, and writes the recorded movement information onto the storage medium when the use of the moving body is ended, and the information processing apparatus includes a second reader/writer for acquiring information from the storage medium and charges an additional fee to a user based on the movement information.
Passenger authentication system for a vehicle
A vehicle system is disclosed herein. A display panel is disposed on the exterior of the vehicle and is configured as a user interface for receiving inputs from a user. An occupant detection device is configured to detect the position of an occupant of the vehicle. A controller is configured to receive a request for pickup from a potential passenger via a first communication; register authorization information based on the first communication; receive a request for vehicle access via a second communication that includes authorization information; and control one or more doors of the vehicle to allow the potential passenger access to the vehicle via the one or more doors in response to the authorization information registered based on the first communication corresponding to the authorization information from the second communication, wherein the controller allows access via the one or more doors based on the position of the occupant detected by the occupant detection device.
Detection of skin reflectance in biometric image capture
In examples, a relative skin reflectance of a captured image of a subject is determined. The determination selects from the captured image pixels of the subject's face and pixels in the background and normalizes luminance values of the skin pixels using the background pixels. The relative skin reflectance value is determined for the captured image, based on the normalized luminance values of the skin pixels. Optionally the relative skin reflectance value is qualified, based on thresholds of skin reflectance values, as suitable for biometric use. Optionally, a non-qualifying captured image is flagged and, optionally, another image is acquired, or the non-conforming image is processed further to transform the image into a suitable image for biometric analysis.
PROGRAM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
A program in the present invention causes a computer to perform: performing a first process for performing a predetermined process related to an aircraft boarding procedure and acquiring boarding reservation information on a user; when the process is completed, performing a second process for matching biometric information acquired from the user with passport biometric information included in passport information acquired from a passport of the user and, when a result of the matching of the biometric information with the passport biometric information is that the matching is successful, associating the passport information, the biometric information, and the boarding reservation information with each other; and performing a switching process for switching whether to perform the first process or the second process.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FRAUD PREVENTION WHEN USING A MACHINE ACCOUNT FOR A MACHINE CONDUCTING TRANSACTIONS
A system and method are disclosed that prevent fraudulent transactions involving a machine and a machine account. The system and method generate a profile for a machine and continuously identify and validate the machine to allow a machine account to be used for conducting transactions. The system and method use information or data provided by the machine for authentication. The data provided by the machine includes any combination of sensor data, historical data, activity data, location data, transaction data and any other data related to the machine and its actions. The machine sends or initiates requests for transactions. The requests are analyzed and allowed to be completed or the requests are declined.
Identity, Payment and Access Control System
Various implementations described herein are directed to a method for providing identity, payment and/or access. A primary account number (PAN) is read from a card or token. A hashed PAN is generated. A transaction result is determined based on the hashed PAN.
ACCOUNTING APPARATUS, ACCOUNTING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM
The present invention provides an accounting apparatus (100) including: an input information acquisition unit (13) that acquires apparatus identification information stored in an electronic money information storage apparatus; a prepayment process execution unit (16) that executes a prepayment process in which a predetermined amount is subtracted from an electronic money balance, based on electronic money information stored in the electronic money information storage apparatus; a registration unit (14) that registers, when a prepayment amount exceeds an accounting amount, a carried over amount being an excess amount and the apparatus identification information, in association with each other; and an accounting unit (18) that performs an accounting process in which the carried over amount in such a way as to be visually recognizable for a user.
