Disclosed herein are systems and methods for analyzing one or more package. In an embodiment, disclosed is a method comprising determining, by a sensor component of a package analysis device comprising a processor that executes computer executable components stored in a memory and the memory that stores computer executable components, a presence of a package and a set of dimensions of the package and extracting, by an image capturing component of the package analysis device, a set of image data from a package label based on a determined presence of the package.

A distribution item includes a first item with a container having an outer surface defining an enclosed space. A computer-readable code is disposed on the outer surface. The computer-readable code is associated with a first level entity. The first item also includes destination information associated with a second level entity disposed on the outer surface. The distribution item also includes one or more second items removably positioned within the enclosed space of the first item. Each of the one or more second items includes the computer-readable code associated with the first level entity.

A multi-level distribution and tracking system is described. Processing equipment processes multi-level distribution items, the multi-level distribution items being associated with first, second, and third level entities. The multi-level distribution items include a computer readable code thereon. The processing equipment captures an image of the multi-level distribution item, reads a computer readable code associated with the first level entity, sender information for the second level entity, and destination address information for the third level entity. The processing equipment generates tracking information based on the processing of the multi-level distribution item, and can send the tracking information to the first level entity.

A computer-implemented robot delivery method including receiving a request from a user to pick up an article. A robot having a transport container is directed to the first location to receive the article. The robot navigates over an outdoor transportation network from the first location to a second location. The robot removes the article from the transport container and delivers the article to a recipient container at the second location. The recipient container moves the article inside the recipient container.

Images of items are evaluated. A first image of the item, having a view of two or more of its surfaces, is captured at a first time. A measurement of at least one dimension of one or more of the surfaces is computed and stored. A second image of the item, having a view of at least one of the two or more surfaces, is captured at a second time, subsequent to the first time. A measurement of the dimension is then computed and compared to the stored first measurement. The computed measurement is evaluated based on the comparison.

Embodiments provide for gravity drop feeding mail items into a portion of a postage metering system for metering operations, such as to activate or apply postage indicia thereto. Embodiments provide for gravity drop exit of mail items from a portion of a postage metering system after metering operations, such as activation or application of postage indicia thereto. Postage metering operations as performed by embodiments of the invention may comprise scanning and activation of preprinted tokens. Postage metering operations according to alternative embodiments of the invention may printing postage indicia. Embodiments provide processing in addition to or in the alternative to the aforementioned postage indicia activation or printing and mail item marking operations, such as weighing, sorting, etc.

Systems and methods for processing distribution items having unique identifiers affixed thereon. The unique identifiers can include computer readable codes and written alphanumeric strings generated by a user. A system receives the unique identifier and requests payment information from a user, and stores an association between the unique identifier and the payment information, and processes the item according to the payment information.

A system and method for high-speed processing of mail pieces is disclosed. The high-speed system includes client server that forms and prints a shipping label comprising reduced Information-Based Indicia (RIBI) on each piece of mail. The client server provides funds to the system server and reports the RIBI usage to the system server. The system server issues tokens to the client server that allow the client server to the print a shipping label including RIBI indicia for a certain value of postage.

The present invention also enables the user to track the benefit application approval process and reminders when certain data or responses are due. There is a feature which enables the user to modify the data submitted for the benefits when circumstances warrant. There is also a decision appeal process feature.
