SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING DELAY RELATED TO POSTAGE INDICIA DISPENSING
In certain embodiments, reduction of delay related to postage indicia dispensing may be facilitated. In some embodiments, a postage distributor system may retrieve indicia data representing postage indicia from a postage provider system associated with a postage provider. The postage distributor system may store the indicia data representing the postage indicia at a storage system of the postage distributor system. The postage distributor system may receive, via a user device, a request to purchase one or more indicia subsequent to the storage of the indicia data representing the postage indicia at the storage system. The postage distributor system may provide indicia data representing the requested indicia to the user device from the indicia data representing the postage indicia. In some embodiments, the postage distributor system's receipt of the request and providing of the indicia data representing the requested indicia occur during a downtime period of the postage provider system.

A method of verifying the identity of a mail item, the method comprising obtaining a first visual representation of at least a portion of a mail item, determining a first postal identifier based on the first visual representation, obtaining a second visual representation of at least a portion of the mail item, determining a second postal identifier based on the second visual representation, comparing the second postal identifier with the first postal identifier, and enabling processing of the mail item based on the comparison step.
GOODS PROCESSING APPARATUS
A goods processing apparatus includes a controller including a program memory, a security module, a first communication interface that is configured to, in cooperation with the security module, securely communicate with a remote server, and an acoustic output device electrically connected with the controller and configured to output audio files or sound files. The security module and the first communication interface can be electrically connected with the controller. The program memory may store a program to control the acoustic output via the acoustic output device. The program can facilitate external commands being transmitted from the remote server, or from one or more other internet sources, to the controller. Via security measures, operational security of the goods processing apparatus is prevented from being negatively affected, or harmful code is prevented from being transmitted to controller.
GOODS PROCESSING APPARATUS HAVING A PIVOTABLE DISPLAY
A goods processing apparatus can include a printing device, a pivotable display, a controller, and a sensor. The pivotable display may include a display support, a pivotable display holder, a display housing that houses a display monitor having a display border arranged around the display monitor and a display housing frame that surrounds the display border, and at least one actuation input device configured to manually trigger a motorized pivoting of the display monitor. The sensor detects an angle of inclination of the pivotable display. The controller controls a motor to automatically set a display inclination of the pivotable display based on the detected angle of inclination and a respective operator of the apparatus.
Multi-level content delivery system and method thereof
An embodiment of a digital content distribution system for a delivery of digital materials through digital mailbox systems is described. The digital content distribution system features a virtual processor and a plurality of digital mailbox systems. Each digital mailbox system is configured to operate as a data store addressable by a digital mailbox address that is uniquely associated with a physical address and is assigned to one or more registered users associated with a property identified by the physical address. For instance, a first digital mailbox system is configured to transmit digital materials to and receive digital materials from a second digital mailbox system different than the first digital mailbox system and one or more registered users are provided access to the digital materials received by the first digital mailbox system upon authentication.
ROBOT TRANSPORT METHOD WITH TRANSPORTATION CONTAINER
A method for transporting a plurality of articles with a transportation container that can be carried in a transport container of one of a plurality of robots. The plurality of articles is placed in the transportation container. The transportation container is placed in a pickup location at a first location. A robot is navigated to the first location and the transportation container is autonomously moved from the pickup location to the transport container of the robot. The robot is navigated over an outdoor transportation network to a second location and the transportation container is autonomously moved from the transport container to a recipient location at the second location.
Robot delivery system
A system for delivering an article from a first location to a second location with a robot having a closeable transport container for housing the article during transport. A closeable recipient container is provided at the second location for receiving the article. At least one computer configured to navigate the robot over an outdoor transportation network between locations is provided. The robot has a robot article transport mechanism controlled by the at least one computer for removing the article from the transport container and the recipient container has a recipient article transport mechanism for moving the article inside the recipient container.
Robot delivery system
A system for delivering an article from a first location to a second location with a robot having a closeable transport container for housing the article during transport. A closeable recipient container is provided at the second location for receiving the article. At least one computer configured to navigate the robot over an outdoor transportation network between locations is provided. The robot has a robot article transport mechanism controlled by the at least one computer for removing the article from the transport container and the recipient container has a recipient article transport mechanism for moving the article inside the recipient container.
Construction payment management system and method with draw notification features
Systems and method for managing a construction payment process. When instructions are executed by a processor, an application server determines a date on which a draw is to occur for a construction project and generates a notification. The notification includes an indication of the date on which the draw will occur and an invitation to initiate a request for payment to be included in the draw. The application server then determines a plurality of participants associated with the construction project to be included in the draw and transmits the notification to the determined plurality of participants. The application server initiates the draw on the determined date and at least one participant of the determined plurality of participants receives a payment in the draw.
Encoder for a rotary motor
Systems are described for converting the angular position of a shaft or an axle of a rotary motor to an analog or a digital code indicative of the angular position. The systems may include a magnetic disk encoded with first magnetic transitions and second magnetic transitions, where the first magnetic transitions are on a first circumference of the magnetic disk, the second magnetic transitions are on a second circumference of the magnetic disk, the first magnetic transitions represent regions on the magnetic disk, and the second magnetic transitions represent locations on the magnetic disk within each of the regions. The systems may include a first sensor to detect a region based on the first magnetic transitions and a second sensor to detect a location based on the second magnetic transitions. The systems may also include a decoder to identify an absolute location on the magnetic disk based on the region detected by the first sensor and the location detected by the second sensor.
