A method of communicating configuration data of a tire pressure monitoring device configured to be affixed to a wheel is disclosed. The method includes, at the tire pressure monitoring device, receiving a request to confirm configuration data, and responsive to receipt of the request to confirm configuration data, transmitting a configuration data signal which encodes the configuration data. The configuration data signal is configured to be received and understood by a human.

An article of clothing includes user-protection circuitry, integrated into the article of clothing. The user-protection circuitry includes condition-detection circuitry, which, in operation, generates one or more indications related to an environment of the article of clothing. According to an aspect, there is provided a method for remote operation of a plurality of elevators in a centralized manner by a remote service system, the remote service system comprising a remote communication computer and wherein each of the plurality of elevators comprises an elevator controller associated with a communication computer. The method comprises receiving, by a remote service system from the communication computer associated with an elevator, a rescue request associated with the elevator; providing, by the remote service system, a verification to distinguish the elevator associated with the rescue request among the plurality of elevators; enabling, by the remote communication computer, a data connection with the communication computer associated with the elevator to control the verified elevator; and performing, by the remote service system, at least one remote operation associated with the verified elevator using the enabled data connection.

According to an aspect, there is provided a method for remote operation of a plurality of elevators in a centralized manner by a remote service system, the remote service system comprising a remote communication computer and wherein each of the plurality of elevators comprises an elevator controller associated with a communication computer. The method comprises receiving, by a remote service system from the communication computer associated with an elevator, a rescue request associated with the elevator; providing, by the remote service system, a verification to distinguish the elevator associated with the rescue request among the plurality of elevators; enabling, by the remote communication computer, a data connection with the communication computer associated with the elevator to control the verified elevator; and performing, by the remote service system, at least one remote operation associated with the verified elevator using the enabled data connection.

Aspects of the present disclosure include methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for controlling access including receiving authentication information associated with a user, determining whether the user is authorized to access the access-controlled point based on the authentication information, retrieving, in response to determining the user is authorized to access the access-controlled point, customized action information associated with the user, transmitting, to the access-controlled point, an unlock message comprising an indicator to grant the user the access to the access-controlled point, and performing one or more customized actions based on the customized action information.

Embodiments described herein provide an animal acoustic augmentor (AAA) for an animal acoustic augmentation system. The AAA includes an audio system configured to generate audio proximal and/or for delivery to an ear of an animal and a logic device configured to communicate with and control operation of the audio system. The system comprises a housing, one or more light sources, and a computing processor. A switch is located in the housing and configured to be accessible to a user. When the switch is actuated by a user indicating an incident, the processor provides power to the at least one light source to output light from the housing thereby indicating the location of the system. The system may also control a speaker to output an audible signal and a transmitter to transmit an emergency signal with location information to a device of an emergency responder and/or an emergency contact. The present invention may also be embodied in a software application that is implemented on a mobile device to thereby leverage the components of the mobile device to send alerts.
