SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACKING LOCATIONS OF STUDENTS WITHIN SCHOOL BUILDINGS

A student tracking system deploys distributed sensors throughout a school building. The distributed sensors receive identification information broadcast by user devices carried by occupants of the school such as students, teachers and school administrators. The student tracking system tracks the location of the occupants within the building based on which sensors most recently detected the user devices. The system sends the location information for the occupants to tracking devices operated by tracking users such as school administrators, emergency responders and/or parents. The tracking devices also present to the parents image data captured by surveillance cameras depicting the students. Additionally, the distributed sensors detect the presence of unauthorized individuals within the school building by determining whether an individual detected via a proximity or motion detector corresponds to identification information for a registered user device received by the sensors.

NOTIFICATION OF EVENT SUBSEQUENT TO COMMUNICATION FAILURE WITH SECURITY SYSTEM

Methods and systems for monitoring a premises are described. A server external to the premises may be in communication with a system at the premises. The server may receive status data from the system from one or more interfaces. If a loss of communication occurs on one interface, then the status data may be received via a second interface. The server may determine timing information for status data received via the first interface and for status data received via the second interface. The server may send, based on the timing information, a message to a computing device indicating the loss of communication.

The server may send, based on the timing information, a message to a computing device indicating the loss of communication.

The controller obtains from the human detector human detection information indicating that one or more persons are present, obtains from the ID reader one or more identifications read by the ID reader when the human detector detects the one or more persons, and applies one mode of the illumination modes to the light source based on the human detection information and one or more identifications obtained, and the light source performs illumination in the applied mode.
