Location monitoring via a gateway
A remote location monitoring system, for example, a home monitoring or weather monitoring system may include one or more sensors and/or receivers at a first location such as a residence or business to be monitored. The sensors and receivers may communicate with a remote central server via a gateway device and the detection data received from the sensors and receivers may be displayed via display circuitry coupled to a processor of the gateway device. The sensors, receivers, and gateway device may be controlled by users locally or remotely via the server. Users may register to receive remote notifications of weather events and other home monitoring events. Users may also access remotely sensors and receivers to configure alerts, notifications, and automatic responses for the devices and integrated appliances at the first location.
Security monitoring apparatus using virtual reality display
An asset management apparatus includes an asset to be monitored such as a secure network and a monitoring system including at least one sensor responsive to events which are potentially damaging or threatening to the asset such as an intrusion. A control system is responsive to the sensor to provide an alarm output indicative of the event and includes data relating to the asset and the location of the at least one sensor therein. A portable display system for a first responder is provided to allow the first responder to carry the display system and the control system includes a communication component operating for displaying on the display system to the first responder while carried at the site at least some of the data or have access to the data relating to the asset at the site so that the first responder can associate the data relating to the site with the actual site.
ANTI-DRONE INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND OPERATION METHOD THEREOF
An anti-drone integrated management device includes a drone detection unit that detects at least one drone invading a restricted area, a drone ID identification unit that requests drone unique information to the at least one detected drone, and receives drone unique information from the at least one detected drone, a drone ID identification information storage/management unit that stores and updates the drone unique information received by the drone ID identification unit, an anti-drone integrated controller that determines whether to neutralize the at least one detected drone based on the drone unique information stored in the drone ID identification information storage/management unit, and a drone neutralization unit that neutralizes the at least one detected drone under control of the anti-drone integrated controller.
Hardware configurable security, monitoring and automation controller having modular communication protocol interfaces
A single platform for controller functionality for each of security, monitoring and automation, as well as providing a capacity to function as a bidirectional Internet gateway, is provided. Embodiments of the present invention provide such functionality by virtue of a configurable architecture that enables a user to adapt the system for the user's specific needs. Embodiments of the present invention further provide such functionality by providing for installation of removable, modular communication adapters for communication with a variety of devices external to the security, monitoring and automation controller.

Detecting abnormal events for a monitoring system
Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for detecting a state transition for sensors of a monitoring system, and determining whether the state transition is abnormal such that further action is warranted. The determination may be based on a history of state transitions in the monitoring system, and may be based on whether the same state transition has previously occurred at a corresponding time in the history, whether the new state has previously occurred following the corresponding time in the history, and other factors.
Intelligent door control system and method
An intelligent door control system and method is provided. The intelligent door control method includes the following steps: receiving an ambient temperature inside and outside a door body of the intelligent door through a first sensor and a second sensor which are respectively installed inside and outside the door body of the intelligent door; comparing the ambient temperature inside the door with a preset first temperature threshold, and comparing the ambient temperature outside the door with a preset second temperature threshold; automatically controlling the intelligent door according to whether there is a living body inside the intelligent door, and comparison results of the ambient temperatures inside and outside the door body with the first and second temperature thresholds respectively.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING VIBRATIONS IN THE PERIPHERY OF AN OPTICAL FIBRE
The invention relates to a system and method for detecting vibrations on the periphery of an optical fibre, which is divided into five subsystems that are connected together. First, a light-source subsystem (6) generates light, which is transmitted through an optical fibre subsystem (2). Then, speckle interference patterns generated in the optical fibre are read using a CMOS micro camera subsystem (5). Subsequently, the information is analysed by a processing subsystem (7), producing an alarm signal that is notified to the outside by means of a communications subsystem (1).
