Dynamic feedback and scoring of transcription of a dictation
An automated system and method for transcription of a dictation presents a transcription exercise to a student that allows continuous student keyboarding of text while providing real time feedback of correct, incorrect, and misplaced characters as well as visually pointing out the location of missing letters and missing words. The real time designation is shown using differences in typeface style or color and using a scoring system that factors in substantially all keystrokes. Not only is final correctness assessed, but also the difficulty in getting to the final state of correctness is assessed.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ASSISTING PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
A computer aided instruction system includes a keyboard driver and an instruction renderer. The keyboard driver is configured to retrieve a keyboard input from a user before the application receives the keyboard input, and the instruction renderer is configured to execute a computer aided instruction tutorial to instruct the user to input a specific key or key combination. The keyboard driver is further configured to transmit the keyboard input to the instruction renderer to evaluate whether the one or more keystrokes matches the specific key or key combination.
SYSTEM AND METHODS THAT FACILITATE COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT AND AFFINITY MATCHING
Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for a competency identification and analysis system and method. An individual's actions, interactions, and other data can be analysed to determine one or more competencies associated with the individual. The competencies can be identified using artificial intelligence, deep learning, and other techniques in order to identify skills, resources, strengths, and other advantages that an individual possesses. The system can then match the competencies to one or more tasks, jobs, mentors, and make recommendations related to these competencies. In an embodiment, the system can retrieve the contextual data from communications and interactions with other individuals, from education markers, job performance reviews, wearable devices. The system can also provide feedback to the individual, to have the user assess the competencies and rank the competencies or assessors who have provided the assessments. The feedback can be delivered in real-time, and in some embodiments via augmented reality devices.
COMPUTING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EFFICIENT KEYBOARD DATA ENTRY
Provided herein is a computing system and a computer-implemented method for determining whether a user of a computer keyboard has hands in a predetermined position with respect to the computer keyboard. The method includes maintaining a data structure representing the predetermined position including an association between each of a plurality of fingers and a respective keyboard key; providing a prompt to the user to, while hands are located proximate the keyboard, depress a specified finger selected from the plurality of fingers; receiving an electronic signal from the keyboard pursuant to the prompt, the electronic signal representative of an activated keyboard key; comparing the activated keyboard key to the keyboard key that is associated in the data structure with the specified finger; and in the event that the activated keyboard key is the same as the keyboard key associated in the data structure with the specified finger, executing a first action, and otherwise, executing a second action that is different from the first action.
