AUGMENTED-REALITY ENDOSCOPIC VESSEL HARVESTING

An endoscopic vessel harvesting system for surgical removal of a blood vessel to be used for coronary bypass uses endoscopic instruments for isolating and severing the vessel. An endoscopic camera in the endoscopic instruments captures images from a distal tip of the instrument within a dissected tunnel around the vessel. An image processor assembles a three-dimensional model of the tunnel from a series of images captured by the endoscopic camera. An augmented-reality display coupled to the image processor renders (e.g., visibly displays to the user in their field of view) a consolidated map representing the three-dimensional model along with a marker in association with the map indicating a current location of the distal tip.

A gaming system according to some aspects of the invention includes a processor, and a memory device storing a plurality of instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to cause a display, by a display device, of a first shape having a first location and a movable second shape having an initial location. The processor receives, player commands for dimensional change the second shapes, after which the second shape moves towards the first shape. The processor causes temporal dimensional changes of the first shape. At least one part of the second shape fits into at least one part of the first shape, at least in one temporary occurrence where the dimensions of the first shape and the second shape allow said fit. The processor checks whether the second shape reached the first shape and whether, if the second shape reached the first shape location, there exists a fit.

BED HAVING FEATURES FOR CONTROLLING HEATING OF A BED TO REDUCE HEALTH RISK OF A SLEEPER

Temperature sensors are configured to sense a temperature for the sleeper and transmit temperature readings. A controller is configured to receive temperature readings; and send to a heating subsystem instructions to initiate a warming process that raises a distal temperature of the sleeper more than a proximal temperature of the sleeper. The heating subsystem that may include a heating element that, when engaged, can raise the distal temperature of the sleeper more than the proximal temperature of the sleeper.

METHOD FOR PREPARING AN AUDIOGRAM OF A TEST SUBJECT BY USE OF A HEARING INSTRUMENT

A method for preparing an audiogram of a test subject by use of a hearing instrument. A sound signal is recorded in an auditory canal of the test subject at least partially closed by the hearing instrument by a first electroacoustic input transducer of the hearing instrument. A first input signal is generated therefrom. A test sound is generated by an electroacoustic output transducer of the hearing instrument and output into the auditory canal of the test subject at least partially closed by the hearing instrument. A hearing threshold of the test subject at at least one test frequency is ascertained on a basis of a reaction of the test subject to the test sound and by use of the first input signal.
