REMOTE DISPLAY DEVICE, REMOTE DISPLAY SYSTEM, AND REMOTE DISPLAY METHOD
20200183636 · 2020-06-11 ·

A remote display device includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry display a display screen. The processing circuitry generate a plurality of display data corresponding to mutually different display areas, each being a part of the display screen. The processing circuitry transmit the plurality of display data generated to a plurality of terminal devices, respectively. The processing circuitry update the display screen based on operation data indicative of an operation performed by the terminal device to the display area corresponding to the display data.

MASKING PRIVATE CONTENT ON A DEVICE DISPLAY BASED ON CONTEXTUAL DATA

A computer-implemented method includes: identifying, by a computing device, private portions and non-private portions of content displayed on a user device; generating, by the computing device, instructions to modify the display of the content on the user device to mask the private portions of the content, group the private portions of the content together, and group and the non-private portions of the content together; and outputting, by the computing device, the instructions to cause the user device to modify the display of the content on the user device such that the masked private portions of the content are grouped together and the non-private portions of the content are grouped together, wherein the non-private portions are exposed and visible.

Replicating effects of optical lenses
10679518 · 2020-06-09 · ·

This disclosure relates to an electronic device for compensating for a visual impairment. The electronic device comprises a display to display a graphical user interface to a user and an input port to receive a request for modifying the graphical user interface to compensate for a visual impairment of the user. The device further comprises a processor to modify the graphical user interface to compensate for a visual impairment of the user by replicating an optical effect of one or more optical lenses. A visually impaired user can operate the device because the processor modifies the interface to compensate for the visual impairment. Without the modification of the interface, it would be difficult for the user to operate the device because the visual impairment causes the interface to appear blurred.

Shared terminal that authenticates a user based on a terminal identifier
10681047 · 2020-06-09 · ·

A shared terminal includes: circuitry to control a display to display an image to a plurality of users, the plurality of users sharing a use of the shared terminal, and obtain, from a first privately-owned terminal owned by a first user of the plurality of users, first terminal identification information for identifying the first privately-owned terminal; a transmitter to transmit, to a terminal management server, an authentication request for authenticating the first privately-owned terminal to allow login of the first user into the shared terminal, the authentication request including the first terminal identification information of the first privately-owned terminal; and a receiver to receive an authentication result indicating whether the first privately-owned terminal is authenticated to allow login of the first user, from the terminal management server. When the authentication result indicates that the first privately-owned terminal is a legitimate terminal and login of the first user is successful, the circuitry controls the display to display a screen for allowing the plurality of users including the first user to draw an image. When the authentication result indicates that the first privately-owned terminal is not a legitimate terminal and login of the first user fails, the circuitry controls the display to display a screen with an error message.

Active multi-color PBP elements

An active PBP device having a reduced chromatic and angular dependence of focusing power includes a stack of active PBP devices where each PBP LC element of the stack has a birefringence of odd number of half wavelengths at one of the R, G, B color channels, and even number of half wavelengths at remaining ones of the R, G, B color channels. Retarder sheets are used to improve off-axis operation of the active PBP device. The device can be placed near user's eye in a head mounted display.

Content providing system, receiving apparatus and method, storage medium, and program

The present invention relates to a content providing system, a receiving apparatus and method, a storage medium, and a program, which enable to perform a variety of contents provisions. An operational terminal 21 can obtain, from a storage terminal 1, contents corresponding to utilization information sent from an operational terminal 11 that is receiving provision of predetermined contents from a storage terminal 1. That is, if a user 23 is interested in contents that a user 13 is watching and listening to on the operational terminal 11, and desires to watch and listen to it, the user 23 can watch and listen to on the operational terminal 21, the contents that the user 13 is watching and listening to, by holding the operational terminal 21 very close to the operational terminal 11, or holding the operational terminal 11 very close to the operational terminal 21.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A USER INTERFACE DEVICE WITH ADAPTIVE OBFUSCATION
20200167980 · 2020-05-28 · ·

Systems and methods for adaptive obfuscation may include a user interface device, a hardware processor, and memory communicatively connected to the hardware processor. The user interface device may include a first hardware display with a first active display area, a first mirrored display area, and a first input area. The hardware processor may be configured to provide operations including receive a plurality of objects including first and second objects having respective first and second character sets with a predefined character length, select an obfuscation scheme defining an obfuscation condition, and obfuscate the first and second character sets according to the selected obfuscation scheme, and display the first character set in the first active display area and the second character set in the first mirrored display area.

Display device, display system, and non-transitory computer readable medium
10664221 · 2020-05-26 · ·

A display device includes a display, a reception unit, a power supply unit, and a controller. The reception unit receives data to be displayed on the display. The power supply unit supplies power to the reception unit. The controller controls whether or not to permit the data to be displayed on the display, based on an instruction for power supply to the reception unit from the power supply unit.
