The endpin stand apparatus allows for adjustment of the height of the apparatus and thus of the stringed instrument, and may allow of adjustment of the angle of the instrument relative to the axis defined by the apparatus. The endpin stand apparatus allows a user, the musician, to stand while playing the instrument, and allows the user to move both forward and back and side-to-side through a range of motion. The adjustable endpin stand apparatus height and angle allow for a range of instrument locations and angles, and increased range of motion by the musician while playing the instrument.

The inertia block has an upper portion, a lower portion, and a plurality of internal, longitudinally displaced, cylindrically shaped, string retaining chambers designed to pass through an entirety of the block mechanism. The string retaining chambers have an upper and lower portion corresponding with the upper and lower portions of the block.
