A Bohemian Instrument may be a musical instrument, acoustic or electric, with a metallic semi-hollow or hollow body. The Bohemian Instrument may comprise a neck extending from the body. In various embodiments, the Bohemian Instrument may comprise, but not be limited to, for example, a through-body neck, extending from the head of the neck into the body of the instrument. Within the body, the Bohemian Instrument may comprise a frame reinforcing at least one inner-edge of the body. In various embodiments, the frame within the body may be comprised of wood and be connected to, or comprise a part of, the through-body neck. By reinforcing the body, the frame also serves to improve a resonation quality of the hollow or semi-hollow metallic body. In turn, the Bohemian Instrument's unique and distinct sound is further articulated.

A Bohemian Instrument may be a musical instrument, acoustic or electric, with a metallic semi-hollow or hollow body. The Bohemian Instrument may comprise a neck extending from the body. A thumb-mountable support is disclosed for use on a support hand of a musician while playing an instrument of the violin-family. The thumb-mountable support includes a thumb ring and a saddle. The thumb ring is configured to at least partially surround the thumb of the support hand to facilitate securement of the thumb-mountable support to the thumb of the support hand. The saddle extends from the thumb ring and includes a lower surface configured to engage a generally V-shaped region formed between a thumb and body of the support hand, and also includes an upper surface configured to support a rear portion of a neck of the instrument.

A metallic component of a musical instrument is advantageously made of a vibration sustaining non-amorphous metal alloy including at least one metal selected from the group consisting of beryllium, copper, iron, titanium, chromium, scandium, lead, aluminum, silicon and combinations thereof, especially of a non-amorphous beryllium copper alloy. Duration of vibration is lengthened multiple fold with the use of this new material, on the order of 10 to 50 times longer. This yields a superior acoustic experience for a musician which enhances the quality of their performance.

A frequency detection and display device includes a body having a vibratory portion configured for vibrating at a predetermined frequency. In this manner, the vibratory portion provides a visible indication corresponding to the predetermined frequency in response to vibration of an object, such as a stringed musical instrument, to which the frequency detection and display device is attached.

A method of storing musical accessories includes providing a storage case, the storage case comprising a compartment and a lid, the compartment defining an interior configured to receive musical accessories, the lid configured to cover an opening of the compartment to enclose the interior; inserting a musical accessory into the interior of the compartment through an orifice in the lid; receiving the musical accessory on one of an accessory tray and an accessory mount; and retrieving the musical accessory from the interior of the compartment.

Disclosed are a support device for a string instrument and a string instrument having the same, the support device being easily stored without an unnecessary separate attachment/detachment process. The support device for a string instrument includes: fixing plates fixed to a body of a string instrument; a first rotary plate rotatably connected to the fixing plates; and a second rotary plate rotatably coupled to the first rotary plate, wherein the first rotary plate has a shape corresponding to one part of a side plate of the body, and the second rotary plate has a shape corresponding to another part of the side plate of the body which is different from one part of the side plate of the body.

Disclosed are a support device for a string instrument and a string instrument having the same, the support device being easily stored without an unnecessary separate attachment/detachment process. The support device for a string instrument includes: fixing plates fixed to a body of a string instrument; a first rotary plate rotatably connected to the fixing plates; and a second rotary plate rotatably coupled to the first rotary plate, wherein the first rotary plate has a shape corresponding to one part of a side plate of the body, and the second rotary plate has a shape corresponding to another part of the side plate of the body which is different from one part of the side plate of the body.

A connector device for electronic musical instruments. The connector device comprising input electrical connector means that receives electrical signals generated by pickup means for an instrument. The instrument being played and a vibration transducer mechanically attached to the input electrical connector means or provided as an integral part of the input electrical connector means, such that vibrations from the instrument are transferred to the vibration transducer. The vibration transducer generates an electrical output signal based on the vibrations. The connector device comprises electrical output connector means that receives the electrical signals generated by the pickup means and the electrical output signal from the vibration transducer and provides these signals to equipment. The connector device further comprises a mixer that combines the signals v.sub.g(t) from the pickup means and the signal v.sub.vib(t) from the vibration transducer. The mixer provides output signal v.sub.o(t) that is a weighted combination of the input signals.

A connector device for electronic musical instruments. The connector device comprising input electrical connector means that receives electrical signals generated by pickup means for an instrument. The instrument being played and a vibration transducer mechanically attached to the input electrical connector means or provided as an integral part of the input electrical connector means, such that vibrations from the instrument are transferred to the vibration transducer. The connector device comprises electrical output connector means that receives the electrical signals generated by the pickup means and the electrical output signal from the vibration transducer and provides these signals to equipment. The connector device further comprises a mixer that combines the signals v.sub.g(t) from the pickup means and the signal v.sub.vib(t) from the vibration transducer. The mixer provides output signal v.sub.o(t) that is a weighted combination of the input signals.
