METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AN ADAPTIVE AND INTERACTIVE TEACHING OF PLAYING A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
Embodiments pertain to a method for use with a musical piece, or part thereof, comprising: presenting, by at least one client device to a plurality of users, a corresponding plurality of sequences of musical symbols to be cooperatively played by the plurality of users using a plurality of instruments; capturing instrument outputs produced by the plurality of instruments to generate audio data descriptive of the captured instrument outputs; analyzing the audio data for determining a level of correspondence between the captured instrument outputs and the plurality of musical symbols presented to the plurality of users; and presenting, based on the level of correspondence, an adapted or non-adapted sequence of music symbols to at least one of the plurality of players.
SYSTEM FOR VISUALLY REPRESENTING MUSICAL TIMING
A system for visually representing musical timing includes a time signature spacer tile associated with a particular time signature and comprising a physical length based on the particular time signature. The system also includes one or more note tiles that have physical note tile lengths that correspond to different types of musical notes with different temporal note durations. The system also includes a tray that has a horizontal length. The tray is configured to receive the time signature spacer tile and a sequence of one or more note tiles of the plurality of note tiles. A combination of the time signature spacer tile and the sequence of note tiles substantially fills the horizontal length of the tray. A combined physical length of the sequence of note tiles corresponds to a combined temporal note duration that corresponds to a measure associated with the particular time signature.

SIGNAL PROCESSING DEVICE, SIGNAL PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD
A signal processing device includes an electronic controller including at least one processor. The electronic controller is configured to execute a reception unit, a generation unit, and a processing unit. The reception unit is configured to receive first time-series data that include sound data, and second time-series data that are generated based on the first time-series data and that include at least data indicating a timing of a human action. The generation unit is configured to generate, based on the second time-series data, third time-series data notifying of the timing of the human action. The processing unit is configured to synchronize and output an output signal based on the first time-series data and an output signal based on the third time-series data, such that the timing of the human action for the first time-series data and the timing of the human action for the third time-series data match.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AN ADAPTIVE AND INTERACTIVE TEACHING OF PLAYING A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
Embodiments of systems and methods pertain to providing a session of music learning to a user, comprising: setting a sound capturing configuration relating to at least one microphone of a computerized device; providing the user with musical notations to be executed through the user for generating user-generated sound; capturing, through the at least one microphone, sound which includes user-generated sound produced by the user to produce user-generated sound data; processing the user-generated sound data; and determining, based on the processing of the user-generated sound data, whether a sound capturing configuration is to be adapted or not.

Sheet Music Distribution System
A system that enables digital distribution of copyrighted sheet music—and allows musician to view the copyrighted sheet music on personal computing devices—while preventing the unauthorized distribution of copyrighted sheet music. An electronic commerce platform provides functionality to purchase copies of copyrighted sheet music. A network security module provides login credentials for purchasers and musicians (and, in some embodiments, limits the number of simultaneous logins). A graphical user interface provides functionality for each purchaser to distribute each purchased copy to one—and only one—musician. In some embodiments, the system allows purchasers to recall sheet music distributed to a first musician and distribute the recalled sheet music to a second musician (without providing functionality for the first musician to view the recalled sheet music).
SYMMETRIC DODECAPHONIC HARMONY MUSIC NOTATION SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a symmetrical dodecaphonic harmony notation system for 12 ET based music, abbreviated as SymD notation. One of the most predominant characteristics of SymD notation is a staff of 5 lines arranged symmetrically with 8 space settings between and beside the lines for all 12 semitones and its octave in a 12 ET scale. The staff serves as a visual reference for intervallic harmony relationships in sonority and melody progressions in 12 ET music.

RELATIONS BETWEEN MUSIC ITEMS
A method of determining relations between music items, the method comprising determining a first input representation for a symbolic representation of a first music item, mapping the first input representation onto to one or more subspaces derived from a vector space using a first model, wherein each subspace models a characteristic of the music items, determining a second input representation for music data representing a second music item, mapping the second input representation onto the one or more subspaces using a second model, determining a distance between the mappings of the first and second input representation in each subspace, wherein the distance represents the degree of relation between the first and second input representation with respect to the characteristic modelled by the subspace.
