An example fluid collection assembly includes a fluid impermeable barrier defining at least one exterior surface. The fluid impermeable barrier includes at least one interior surface defining a chamber and an exterior surface opposite the interior surface. The fluid impermeable barrier defines at least one opening that is configured to be positioned adjacent to a urethral opening that allows fluids (e.g., urine) to enter the chamber. The fluid impermeable barrier also includes one or more fluid flow features formed in or on the exterior surface of the fluid impermeable barrier. The fluid flow features are configure to facilitate removal of one or more fluids between the exterior surface and the skin.

A collection device for collecting and preserving biological material. A longitudinal shaft is provided with a proximal end and a distal end. An absorbent solid matrix having at least one layer of chemically impregnated filter paper is affixed to the distal end of the shaft. The absorbent solid matrix consists of chemically impregnated filter paper and can have portions separated by perforations, or an inner core and a separable, overlapping outer layer. The absorbent solid matrix has a configuration that may include nubs, individual ribs, helical, filaments, and radial protrusions. Also disclosed is a tampon-like collection device for delivering an absorbent solid matrix.

The cognitive level evaluator is configured to evaluate a cognitive level of the subject based on a detection result of the detector.

Disclosed herein is an intradermal needle device including a rigid base; a needle rigidly affixed to the rigid base, the needle including a hollow shaft extending from the rigid base along an axis to a tip of the needle; a cap formed from a deformable material affixed to the rigid base and extending along the axis, the cap comprising a cushion portion surrounding a portion of the hollow shaft, the cushion portion having a convex-shaped surface facing away from the rigid base, wherein the tip of the needle extends beyond the convex surface by a non-zero distance of 1.5 mm or less and wherein when the intradermal needle device can be pressed with the needle tip against skin of a living body, the tip pierces the skin to a depth of 1.5 mm or less and the convex-shaped surface of the cushion portion deforms against the skin surrounding the needle.

A fertility tracking system is disclosed. The system includes a sensual fertility device that provides stimulation to the woman while also providing feedback regarding the status of the user's menstrual cycle in the form of changing colors of the sensual fertility device. The system further includes systemic software (such as a mobile application) that communicates with the sensual fertility device to determine and instruct which color should be activated on the sensual fertility device.

The invention relates to a method for predicting and testing physiological conditions of a female mammal related to an increased level of ferning present in a dried mucous body fluid sample of the female mammal, comprising: capturing an image of the dried mucous body fluid sample via a camera of a mobile telecommunication device through a magnifying lens releasably coupled to an objective of the camera, detecting the presence of crystals in the sample by processing the image, determining the crystal density within the sample from the detected crystals, predicting the physiological condition of the female mammal by comparing the crystal density to reference crystal density data, wherein increased crystal density is indicative of increased ferning level. The invention further relates to a mobile telecommunication device comprising: at least one processing unit, a user input interface, a display, a camera having an objective, a magnifying lens releasably coupled to the objective, at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processing unit, cause the device to perform at least the following: capture an image of a dried mucous body fluid sample of a female mammal via the camera through the magnifying lens, detect the presence of crystals in the sample by processing the image, determine crystal density within the sample from the detected crystals, predict a physiological condition of the female mammal related to an increased level of an ferning by comparing the crystal density to at least one reference density, wherein increased crystal density is indicative of increased ferning level.

A cognitive impairment diagnostic apparatus includes: a display which displays a video for diagnosis of cognitive impairment on a display surface; an imaging unit which captures images of an eye of a subject; a detection unit which detects viewpoints of the subject on the display surface in time series based on the images captured by the imaging unit; a creation unit which creates a distribution map representing a distribution of the viewpoints detected by the detection unit; a storage unit which stores case characteristic data indicating a characteristic of a viewpoint distribution corresponding to a typical case in cognitive impairment; and a diagnostic unit which diagnoses cognitive impairment of the subject by determining whether the distribution map has the characteristic indicated by the case characteristic data.

Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed herein for monitoring physiological data of subjects urinating or defecating into an excretion collection device, including systems, devices, and methods for monitoring temperature of objects (e.g., urine or feces) received through the opening of the excretion collection device. In some embodiments, systems, devices, and methods disclosed herein include a temperature sensor that can generate a temperature profile associated with a urination or defecation event, and determine a core body temperature of a subject based on the temperature profile.

A drainage liquid sampling system is disclosed and includes a connector couplable with a drainage tube of a drainage system, the connector defining an inlet port, an outlet port, and a sample port, where the inlet port, the outlet port, and the sample port are in fluid communication with each other, and a sample container couplable with the sample port. A valve within the connector selectively allows and prevents flow of drainage liquid into the sample container. A cap couplable to the sample container also includes a valve. A system for draining liquid from a patient includes the drainage liquid sampling system.
