Sharps container
A container for disposal of medical waste is provided that comprises a receptacle with an open top. A lid is attached to the receptacle to cover the open top of the receptacle. The lid has an elongated opening sized to permit the introduction of medical waste into the receptacle. A closure flap is connected to the lid to selectively close the lid opening. The closure flap is movable between an open position, a closed position and a locked position. The closure flap is attached to the lid by axial hubs that extend from each side of the closure flap through openings in the side walls of the lid. Covers attached to the outside of the side wall of the lid and engaged with the closure flap axial hub. The container may also include a locking external cabinet that encloses the receptacle and can be mounted to a wall.
Biopsy tray and method of obtaining a biopsy specimen
An improved biopsy tray includes a container having bottom surface and continuous perimeter wall extending upward therefrom to form a cleaning zone which is sufficient to hold an adequate amount of fluid for cleaning a biopsy forceps, and at least one specimen bottle receiving receptacle adjacent the perimeter wall to receive and retain a specimen bottle. A method of obtaining a biopsy specimen includes employing the tray of the invention.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR BIODIFFUSION CHAMBER STORAGE
An apparatus includes a chamber container and a tray. The chamber container has a first portion and a second portion removably coupled to the first portion. The first and second portions collectively define an inner volume. The tray is configured to be removably disposed within the inner volume of the chamber container. The tray includes a first portion and a second portion coupled to the first portion via a hinge. The first portion includes a first retention surface. The second portion includes a second retention surface. The tray is configured to receive a biodiffusion chamber between the first portion and the second portion such that the first retention surface and the second retention surface engage a portion of the biodiffusion chamber to (1) place the biodiffusion chamber in a predetermined orientation and (2) maintain the biodiffusion chamber in a substantially fixed position relative to the tray.
Medical drape and methods of covering equipment with medical drapes
A sterile drape is provided to cover medical equipment. The drape may include an expandable element to open the open end of the drape. A sheath may also be provided to cover the sheath prior to use. The drape may also be held in a container, which may be coupled to the equipment. Furthermore, the drape may include one or more partially deployed positions in which the drape is partially deployed yet the sterile surface of the drape remains unexposed so that the drape may be partially deployed by non-sterile personnel and stored in a non-sterile area.
Sterile container having a closure system
A medical or surgical sterile container includes a first container part, a second container part, and at least one closure system arranged on the second container part which is pivotable between a closed position, in which the first container part and the second container part are locked to each other by the closure system, and an open position, in which the first container part and the second container part are unlocked. The first container part has an integrally formed edge portion on which the closure system is immediately supported in the closed position, for transferring a closing force of the first container part to the second container part.

Disposable kit
Arrangements described herein relate to systems, apparatuses, and methods for a disposable kit containing medical items configured for a medical device including a head cradle to support a head of a subject, the disposable kit includes a container that encloses a head cradle pad configured to be affixed to the head cradle, at least one fiducial marker configured to be disposed on a location at the head of the subject, and at least one enclosure configured to cover a portion of the medical device.
Sterilization tray
A sterilization tray is disclosed herein. A medical instrument, such as an endoscope, may be placed into the sterilization tray, and the sterilization tray with the medical instrument disposed therein may be placed into a vacuum chamber of a sterilization system. The sterilization tray may also be used to transport the medical instrument to and from a point of care. Sterilization is performed with the instrument in the base component and the lid component disposed atop the base component. Transportation is performed with the instrument in the lid component and the base component disposed atop the lid component.
