Container inventory supply system and method

A system and method for the supply of a medical storage container that has a required inventory of medical articles. An enclosure is used to isolate, scan, and inventory a tray or other container of medical articles. The container and each of the medical articles stored in the container having a wireless identification device. A probe injects activation energy and receives identification data in the enclosure. A program compares the scanned identification of the tray and the inventory of the tray to the required inventory list for the tray and indicates any differences. Extra articles and expired and recalled articles are identified. Text and graphical data displays of inventory are provided. Selectable periods for expiration of medical articles are also provided.

Method and system for determining whether an individual takes appropriate measures to prevent the spread of healthcare-associated infections along with centralized monitoring
09729833 · 2017-08-08 · ·

A system and method that caregivers, central monitoring companies and other persons to monitor whether individuals entering patients' rooms take appropriate steps to mitigate the spread of healthcare associated infections to the patients receiving healthcare services. In one non-limiting the system and method determine whether an individual who has entered the room of a patient has wash his or her hands prior to approaching the patient. A live video feed from the monitored rooms can be displayed on a centralized monitoring primary display which can be located remote to the monitored rooms. When it is determined that an individual in a specific room from the monitored rooms is approaching a patient and has not washed his or her hands an alert, notification and/or a live video feed for the specific room can be displayed on a centralized monitoring alert display which can also be preferably located remote to the monitored rooms.

System, method and computer simulation environment for in silico trials in pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes

An electronic system is provided that simulates a glucose-insulin metabolic system of a T2DM or prediabetic subject, wherein the system includes a subsystem that models dynamic glucose concentration in a T2DM or prediabetic subject, including an electronic module that models endogenous glucose production (EGP(t)), or meal glucose rate of appearance (Ra(t>>, or glucose utilization (U(t)), or renal excretion of glucose (B(t)), a subsystem that models dynamic insulin concentration in said T2DM or prediabetic subject, including an electronic module that models insulin secretion (S(t)), an electronic database containing a population of virtual T2DM or prediabetic subjects, each virtual subject having a plurality of metabolic parameters, and a processing module that calculates an effect of variation of at least one metabolic parameter value on the glucose insulin metabolic system of a virtual subject by inputting the plurality of metabolic parameter values.

SYSTEM, METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIA FOR ENDLESS AISLE OF PRODUCTS IN RETAIL STORE
20170221123 · 2017-08-03 ·

A system, method, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media includes a computer system configured to receive a selected product to be located in a retail store of a retailer inputted by a user into a mobile computer application running on a mobile computing device, to perform a search for the selected product on a plurality of products records corresponding to a plurality of products offered by the retailer, to identify one or more of the product records relevant to the selected product, to transmit the one or more product records identified as one or more search results, to provide the one or more search results to the mobile computer application running on the mobile computing device, each of the one or more search results being associated with a product offered by the retailer, and to suggest at least one related product to the selected product, and to receive at least one product or at least one related product from the search results selected by the user using the mobile computer application running on the mobile computing device to be shipped to an address of the retail store or another address inputted by the user.

Methods and systems for evaluation of immune cell infiltrate in tumor samples

Immune context scores are calculated for tumor tissue samples using continuous scoring functions. Feature metrics for at least one immune cell marker are calculated for a region or regions of interest, the feature metrics including at least a quantitative measure of human CD3 or total lymphocyte counts. A continuous scoring function is then applied to a feature vector including the feature metric and at least one additional metric related to an immunological biomarker, the output of which is an immune context score. The immune context score may then be plotted as a function of a diagnostic or treatment metric, such as a prognostic metric (e.g. overall survival, disease-specific survival, progression-free survival) or a predictive metric (e.g. likelihood of response to a particular treatment course). The immune context score may then be incorporated into diagnostic and/or treatment decisions.

Computing systems and methods for electronically indicating the acceptability of a product

In part, the invention relates to computing systems and methods for electronically indicating the acceptability of a product. An image capture and communication device may analyze a product label that includes one or more monitors, authentication elements, and identification elements. The image capture and communication device may determine the type and features of the monitors, authentication elements, and identification elements. The image capture and communication device may transmit data based on the type and features to a host server, which may transmit data associated with the host product to the image capture and communication device in, inter alia, the form of an acceptability report.

Method of Automatically Matching Procedure Definitions in Different Radiology Information Systems
20220238239 · 2022-07-28 · ·

A computer-implemented method which, given a set of procedure definitions in a first radiology information system generates the best match for a procedure definition defined in a second system on the basis of a multidimensional vector representation of procedure definitions and a matching algorithm based on vector cosine similarity.

DEFAULT CARBOHYDRATE CONSUMPTION COUNTS BASED ON POPULATION CARBOHYDRATE CONSUMPTION MODELS

The present disclosure relates to default carbohydrate consumption counts based on population carbohydrate consumption models. Aspects of the present disclosure relate to receiving, from a device, at least one characteristic of a person; accessing a population carbohydrate consumption model which relates the at least one characteristic with carbohydrate intake for a population; determining, based on applying the population carbohydrate consumption model to the at least one characteristic, at least one of: a preliminary carbohydrate count for the person or a default carbohydrate consumption count for the person; and causing delivery of insulin to the person based on communicating, to the device, at least one of: the preliminary carbohydrate count for the person or the default carbohydrate consumption count for the person.
