A universal cable system includes a cable, which may include a keyed profile and an optional, integrated pull cable for low-voltage applications in residential and commercial structures, both old and new construction, which may further includes a connector, which does not require individual splicing of the wires from the cable. The connector may be self-crimping or crimped with a tool. During installation of the connector onto the cable, conductors in the connector may be simultaneously spliced to the wires of the cable during crimping.

Various methods and devices for touch screens using topological insulators are provided. One of the touch screen devices includes a touch sensor layer including a three-dimensional 3D topological insulator that maintains an electric charge over opposing outer surfaces of the 3D topological insulator. The touch screen device also includes electrodes electrically connecting the opposing outer surfaces of the 3D topological insulator. The touch screen device also includes a controller that determines a position at which an object touches the touch screen device based on a change in the electric charge over the opposing outer surfaces.

A lighted artificial tree includes a first tree portion including a first trunk portion, first branches joined to the first trunk portion, and a first light string. The first trunk portion has a trunk connector and a first trunk wiring assembly, the first trunk wiring assembly is electrically connectable to the first light string and the trunk connector, and at least a portion of the first wiring assembly is located inside the first portion. The second tree portion may be mechanically coupled and electrically connected to the first tree portion by coaxially coupling the first trunk portion to the second trunk portion.

There is disclosed an illuminated cable comb including a body incorporating at least two openings for removably retaining a corresponding at least two cables in a fixed position relative to the body. The comb further includes a light source within the body, and conductive material within the body capable of transmitting power to the at least one light such that the at least one light illuminates the body when power is supplied.
