Treatment methods for medical and dental implants, periodontal diseases and medical procedures
Dental and medical treatments and methods, including treating gum disease, using peroxide gel and a viscous antimicrobial including a topical antibacterial agent, a topical antiviral agent, a topical antibiotic, a topical antifungal agent, a topical antiseptic agent, or a topical anti-intermicrobial agent to chemically debride and curettage a treatment area. Treatments and methods include non-surgically scaling and root plaining the treatment area with dental tools such as periodontal scalers and/or curettes during the active period of the chemical debridement. The working surfaces of dental and medical tools can be sharpened for optimal root and tooth surfacing during treatment. Treatment can include instructions for co-therapy by or on behalf of treatment subjects between visits and for maintenance care.
Unit and multi dose applicators and methods of use
A dental application device having a handle having a first end, a second end, and a containment chamber disposed within the handle. The device has a dental solution disposed within the containment chamber, a receiver tip coupled to the handle at the first end, a material passage within the receiver tip that forms a conduit between the first end and a receiving end, a frangible seal that separates the containment chamber from the material passage, and a piercing cannula in fluid communication with an applicator tip and having a distal piercing end extending toward the frangible seal. The piercing cannula is moveable between a first position and a second position. When in the first position, the piercing end is spaced apart from the frangible seal, and in the second position, the piercing end punctures the frangible seal and fluidly connects the dental solution with the applicator tip.
Instrument product and a method for manufacturing the same
An instrument product comprises a medical hand instrument (101) and a radio frequency identifier (102) readable from a distance away from the radio frequency identifier. The radio frequency identifier is at least partly covered with cover material (103) attached with adhesive material to a surface of the medical hand instrument so that the adhesive material is in contact with both the cover materia! and the surface of the medical hand instrument. The cover material can be the same material as the adhesive material, or the cover material may constitute a cover element which comprises a cavity for the radio frequency identifier and which is attached with the adhesive material to the surface of the medical hand instrument.

Dental composite blade
An exemplary dental composite blade includes a mounting portion and a tool portion. The tool portion may extend between a proximal end and a distal end along an arcuate tool path defined within a transverse plane. The tool portion further includes a proximal section adjacent the proximal end, a distal section adjacent the distal end, an intermediate section between the proximal and distal sections, and first and second lateral edges disposed on opposing sides of the transverse plane. The lateral edges are each preferably convex at the proximal section with respect to the transverse plane, and concave at the intermediate section with respect to the transverse plane. The mounting portion may include an elongated mounting slot for receiving a blade retention element of a blade holder. Particular embodiments of the dental composite blade may include one or more securement flaps for auxiliary engagement of the blade holder.

Minimally invasive method to enhance implant movement
A method for moving an existing implant along a jaw bone of a person, the method including positioning an abrasive bur between adjacent roots of the at least one tooth and existing implant in the jaw bone, rotating the abrasive bur, applying the rotating bur to penetrate the gingiva tissue covering the space between the adjacent roots of the at least one tooth and implant to remove a desired amount of gingival tissue and expose the underlying jaw bone, and contacting the bone with the rotating bur to abrasively vibrate the jaw bone adjacent to at least one tooth without drilling through the cortical bone.
Dental instrument with a flexible tip end and method of manufacture
Dental instruments, assemblies, and components for a dental instrument are described with a two-piece tip that includes a flexible tip end and a stiff shank. Various methods of assembly are described for securing the flexible tip end to the shank including utilizing a slot in the shank and one or more pins inserted through the tip and shank, a securing material, and forming the shank with a distal portion coupled to a portion of the flexible tip end.
