Single-hand interdigit-coordinated mobile keyboard input device
11237642 · 2022-02-01 ·

A single-hand interdigit-coordinated mobile keyboard input device has a chassis configured to conform to human fingers with a plurality of articulating finger frames connected adjacent to each other, a plurality of user input elements, a processing device, and a signal transmitter. The plurality of user input elements is connected around the chassis in order to capture flexion, extension, adduction, and abduction movements of the plurality of articulating finger frames. The processing device interprets signals received from the plurality of articulating finger frames into desired output communication elements such as text characters. The signal transmitter sends the interpreted output to a computing device.

A double breaker switch comprises a contact bridge connected to an actuator at a connection point, a first fixed contact, and a second fixed contact. The contact bridge includes a first bridge contact connected to the connection point by a first arm and a second bridge contact connected to the connection point by a second arm. The second arm is longer than the first arm. The first bridge contact electrically connects with the first fixed contact at a first contact point in a closed state of the double breaker switch. The second bridge contact electrically connects with the second fixed contact at a second contact point and a third contact point in the closed state of the double breaker switch.

MULTIPLE HAMMER BLOW VACUUM INTERRUPTER WELD BREAKING
20210134538 · 2021-05-06 · ·

A method for separating welded contacts in a magnetically actuated switch assembly that includes providing multiple actuator hammer blows to the contacts. The method includes causing the contacts to close using, for example, a manual actuation device and detecting a high current condition that occurs when the contacts are closed. The method further includes electrically actuating the actuator to open the contacts in response to detecting the high current condition and determining that the contacts have not opened in response to the actuator being actuated because they are welded together. The method also includes electrically actuating the actuator to close the contacts when it is determined that they are welded together and again electrically actuating the actuator to open the contacts.

Uniform illumination of keys on a flexible substrate

Systems and methods for providing illumination to illuminable portions of keys associated with a keyboard are described. A key disposed on a flexible substrate includes a light guide positioned below a keycap. The light guide includes one or more light extraction features to produce a substantially uniform light distribution of light from a light emitting element at an illuminable portion of the key. In one embodiment, a light emitting element is positioned on the flexible substrate and is optically coupled to the light guide. In another embodiment, a light emitting element is positioned below the flexible substrate and is optically coupled to the light guide via an optical interface.

Touch panel and display apparatus

A touch panel and a display apparatus include a backlight apparatus serving as a supporting substrate, a transparent protective plate that is arranged spaced apart from the backlight apparatus and includes an operating surface on an opposite side of the backlight apparatus; a plurality of vibrators for vibrating the transparent protective plate; and a resilient supporting member arranged between the backlight apparatus and the transparent protective plate to support the transparent protective plate and extend and contract diagonally across a thickness direction of the transparent protective plate.
