Rotary switch
Rotary switches and associated methods. A rotary switch can include one or more arcuate passages which are prone to ingress of particulate or liquid contaminants. A gasket, a rib, and/or a lubricant reservoir can be provided in the arcuate passages for blocking ingress of contaminants to an interior of the switch.
Motor control center subunit having moveable line contacts and method of manufacture
A system and method for connecting supply power to motor control components includes use of a motor control center subunit with moveable supply power contacts. After a motor control center subunit is secured into a motor control center compartment, the supply power contacts may be advanced to engage supply power buses. For disconnection, the supply power contacts may be retracted and isolated from the buses before physical removal of the subunit.

On-load tap changer and method of emergency setting defined switching position thereof
The invention relates to an electric motor-operated on-load tap changer (1) comprising an emergency drive. An electric motor (3) and a power store (13) of said on-load tap changer (1) are mechanically coupled by means of a gear (5) that is provided with a gear housing (90). The gear (5) comprises a gear shaft (61) on which a toothing (55) is designed. For manual emergency operation, the claimed gear shaft (61) has an extension (62) which comprises a free end (65) for attaching a tool (95). The invention also relates to a method for adjusting a defined switching position of an on-load tap changer (1) when in an emergency operation mode.
HAPTIC INTERFACE PROVIDING IMPROVED CONTROL OF THE HAPTIC SENSATION
A haptic interface, including: a button moving in a first direction or in a second direction; an interaction element interacting with a magnetorheological fluid with a viscosity that varies in accordance with a magnetic field; a brake including a magnetorheological fluid and a generation system to generate a magnetic field on command; a sensor detecting the current position of the button; a mechanism determining speed of the button; and a controller configured to send orders to the system to generate a magnetic field, the orders being generated according to the current position of the button and the current actuation speed of the button.
DEVICE FOR HAPTIC INTERFACE WITH REDUCED NO-LOAD TORQUE
A device for a rotary haptic interface including: a rotary button and an interaction member interacting with a magnetorheological fluid, the rotary button and interaction member being secured to a shaft for rotation therewith, a chamber defined by walls and containing the fluid and the interaction element, and a mechanism generating a variable magnetic field. The element for interaction with the fluid includes a skirt surrounding the shaft, the skirt being secured to a longitudinal end of the shaft opposite the end to which the rotary button is secured, and extending from the first end towards the rotary button. The shaft passes through a single wall of the chamber and a sealing mechanism is arranged between the shaft and the wall. A mechanism for guiding the rotation of the shaft is arranged around the shaft between the sealing mechanism and the rotary button.
STRUCTURE OF REMOVING STATIC ELECTRICITY IN LOW-HUMIDITY SPACE
There is provided a static electricity removal structure in a low-humidity space, in which static electricity can be removed with high efficiency in the low-humidity space by using a static electricity removal device. A low-humidity space is configured such that dehumidified air is supplied from one side of the low-humidity space into the low-humidity space through a blowout surface material in which ventilation pore is formed, and exhausting is performed from the other side of the low-humidity space, which opposes the blowout surface material. A static electricity removal device is disposed on a downstream side of the blowout surface material.
Transformer tapping arrangement and methods of operation of same
A tapping arrangement for a transformer, the arrangement comprising a plurality of fixed contacts, a movable rotary contact, a transition rotor with pairs of transition contacts, an interrupter coupling assembly and driving motor(s) are compacted into a single vacuum chamber.
POWER SEAT OPERATION DEVICE AND POWER SEAT
In a power seat operation device, a micro switch is attached inside a dial that is rotatably provided to a side face of a power seat. An opening is formed inside the dial, with an operation portion of a knob to operate the micro switch inserted through the opening. There is accordingly a possibility that liquid might infiltrate into the dial, however a channel is formed inside the dial by the dial and the knob. The channel lets liquid flow downward to the lower side of the micro switch so as to discharge the liquid to outside the dial in cases in which liquid has infiltrated into the dial through the opening in a state in which the opening is positioned at the upper side of the micro switch. The channel is partitioned from the micro switch, enabling flow of liquid to the micro switch to be prevented or suppressed.
Pipette adjustment wheel
An electrical pipette that includes an adjustment wheel, which comprises a primary spring defining a first adjustment area and a secondary spring defining a second adjustment area after the first adjustment area in a turning direction of the adjustment wheel. The force required for turning the adjustment wheel within the first adjustment area is smaller than within the second adjustment area, and the springs are arranged to return the adjustment wheel to its original position when the adjustment wheel is released.
