Method of preparing a bone site for restoration procedure
A predetermined bone site in a patient selected for restoration is exposed, contacted with an aqueous, methylene blue containing phosphoric acid solution for a time period of at least 3 minutes but no more than about 15 minutes, and thereafter cleansed ultrasonically to remove any bacteria that may be present. Preferred phosphoric acid concentration in the aqueous solution is about 37 percent by weight.
Arrangement with a tool and with a fastening means, and method for fastening a fastening means
An arrangement with a tool and with a fastening means having a longitudinal direction is provided. The tool is designed to screw the fastening means into a body in the longitudinal direction; the tool has a blade with a first holding element and a second holding element; the fastening means has a first holding section with a complementary first holding element and a second holding section with a complementary second holding element. In the first holding section, the first holding element and the complementary first holding element interact in such a way that a translatory movement of the blade in the longitudinal direction is blocked. In the second holding section, the second holding element and the complementary second holding element interact in such a way that a rotary movement of the blade can be transferred to the fastening means and the fastening means can be screwed into the body.
Dental implant having reverse-tapered main body for anterior post-extraction sockets
A dental implant includes a body and a threaded surface. The body has an upper portion, a middle portion, and a lower portion. The upper portion of the body includes a generally cylindrical region. The lower portion of the body includes a generally inwardly tapered region. The middle portion of the body includes an outwardly extending bulge. A maximum outer diameter of the bulge is greater than (i) a maximum outer diameter of the upper portion and (ii) a maximum outer diameter of the lower portion. The threaded surface is on the body within at least the upper portion of the body, the bulge, and the lower portion of the body.
Combined assembly for dental prosthesis
A combined assembly for dental prosthesis is provided, wherein the combined assembly includes a first joint member and a second joint member. The first joint member has a first body and a plurality of elastic hooks, and the elastic hooks are annularly arranged to connect one end of the first body, wherein a slot is disposed between the adjacent elastic hooks, and each of the hook has a top portion protruding outward. The second joint member has a second body, and the second body is provided with a joint hole, a side wall surface of which is provided with a ring groove, wherein the elastic hooks extend into the joint holes, and the top portions of the elastic hooks engage into the ring groove.
Bioactive Intraosseous Dental Implant
An intraosseous dental implant for the application of biologically active agents directly to the surrounding soft tissues and bone tissue, and their substitutes, is described. The implant enables the measurement of the newly formed or lost bone tissue volume immediately adjacent to the implant. Increasing the dynamics of osseointegration growth directly results in the possibility of reducing the duration of the entire treatment protocol. To increase dynamics of the osseointegration process, the type of material from which the implant is made, its design features, surface topography, as well as the formation of layered structures and coating applications, are described. The implant introduces growth factors and other biologically active factors that affect an increase in the dynamics of osseointegration strength. The entire implant or a porous section thereof can be produced by 3D printing through selective melting/sintering of biocompatible metallic, ceramic, or metallic-ceramic composite powders with laser or electron beams.
SYSTEM ASSEMBLY INTERFACE
A system assembly interface between a multi-part superstructure carrier, which carries a superstructure, and an implant body, which has an internal thread, is disclosed. A part of the superstructure carrier is arranged on the implant body via an implant screw bolt. The superstructure carrier comprises a superstructure main carrier and an attachment carrier that is detachably screwed to it. The system assembly interface ensures secure support of the superstructure with simple pre-assembly and final assembly. In the case of a plurality of implant bodies carrying a partial or total prosthesis, no appreciable stresses occur despite static overdetermination.
Dental prosthetic system with a bridge structure that can be removed from a base structure
Method and prosthetic system for producing a substitution bridge structure with prosthetic teeth (6), for replacing an existing bridge structure (2) which is mounted on a base structure (1), wherein the base structure (1) is fixed to implants (10) by means of base screws (11) and the head (15) of the base screws (11) has a screw hole. A scan body is fixed to the head (15) of the base screws (11) and an intraoral scan of the oral cavity is executed and the scan data is related to a 3D digital model of the base structure (1) and/or of the existing bridge structure (2), wherein subsequently a 3D digital model of said substitution bridge structure is designed.
DENTAL IMPLANT LOCATOR CLEANING ASSEMBLY
A dental implant locator cleaning assembly includes a cleaning head that is attachable to a periodontal tool which employs oscillation and pressurized water for cleaning dental implants. The cleaning head has a plurality of tabs oriented to surround a dental implant locator for scrubbing an outer surface of the dental implant locator when the periodontal tool is turned on. The cleaning head has a fluid nozzle that is centrally positioned therein and is surrounded by the plurality of tabs. The fluid nozzle extends into a well in the dental implant locator and the fluid nozzle is in fluid communication with the periodontal tool when the cleaning head is attached to the periodontal tool. In this way the fluid nozzle can spray a fluid into the well in the dental implant locator for cleaning debris from the well in the dental implant locator.
Omnidirectional multi-unit abutment system for screw-attached dental prostheses
A multi-unit abutment aligning a dental implant and a screw-attached prosthesis with copings is disclosed. The multi-unit abutment has a threaded base post for attachment to the implant and a ball portion. A swivel shell surrounds the ball and may be fixed in position with a lock screw. A drive feature on the ball allows a tool passing through the lock screw to drive the base post into the implant with the multi-unit assembly in a linear configuration. The swivel shell is then positioned and fixed at a desired tilt and azimuthal angle. The swivel shell has a mating surface for a coping. The lock screw remains accessible through an aperture in the coping when the prosthesis is positioned on the implant abutments. Different embodiments are disclosed for capturing the swivel shell on the ball. Methods for improving passive alignment of the prosthesis to the implants are described.
