DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF TREATING OCULAR DISEASES IN ANIMALS
The present invention relates in general to the field of drug delivery systems for treating ocular diseases in animals, and more specifically, to a drug delivery system and method of treating Infectious Bovine Keratoconjunctivitis (“IBK”) in cattle, commonly known as “pinkeye.” The drug delivery system and method may include a contact lens that has been infused with drugs for treating IBK, such as oxytetracycline, penicillin, streptomycin, tetracycline, gentamicin, cloxacillin or combinations thereof. The medicated contact lens may be placed in contact with the cornea and/or conjunctiva of the afflicted eye of the animal. Drugs are released from the medicated contact lens via diffusion into the cornea and/or conjunctiva of the eye. After treatment, the contact lens may harmlessly dissolve in the eye wherein it is washed away via tear secretions.

An injector device and method for use, and particularly a veterinary injector, is disclosed herein. One aspect of the present technology, for example, is directed toward a veterinary injector including a flexible container configured to house a medicament, a plunger configured to be slidably received within a lumen of the container, a needle, and a stabilizer at the distal portion of the container and configured to be grasped by a user. The stabilizer can include a first flap extending away from the hub in a first direction, a second flap extending away from the hub in a second direction, and a third flap extending away from the hub in a third direction.
SMALL ANIMAL ANESTHESIA SYSTEM
A small animal anesthesia system is provided, including a compressor, an anesthetizing gas generator and an anesthesia platform. The compressor has a first outlet and a first intake. The anesthetizing gas generator has a second outlet and a second intake. The first outlet of the compressor is connected to the second intake of the anesthetizing gas generator to supply gas, so that an anesthetizing gas is generated. The anesthesia platform includes a bearing plate, an anesthetic mask and a first anesthesia chamber. The anesthetic mask is configured to cover the face of the small animal, and connected to the second outlet of the anesthetizing gas generator, such that the small animal is anesthetized by the anesthetizing gas generated by the anesthetizing gas generator. The first anesthesia chamber is disposed on the bearing plate, and connected to the first intake of the compressor to recycle the anesthetizing gas.

CHEW TOY FOR DISPENSING MEDICATION
A chew toy is provided for dispensing medication to a user, comprising: a) an outer shell comprising an opening; and b) an inner compartment comprising a channel connecting the inner compartment to the opening; wherein the inner compartment comprises means for storing the medication and dispensing the medication through the channel and out of the opening when the user chews the chew toy. In some embodiments, the inner compartment comprises a syringe or a sac. In another embodiment, the inner compartment of the chew toy may comprise a channel that connects a first opening in the chew toy to a second opening connected to an external compartment comprising an external syringe, sac, or any other means for storing and dispensing the medication. Methods of using the chew toys to dispense medication to a user are also provided.
