Systems and methods for animal patient health management during veterinary procedures
Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for managing animal patient during a veterinary procedure. In one implementation, a base has an interior surface, an exterior surface, and an opening. An electrode is disposed in the opening. The electrode is configured to communicate with medical device(s) for monitoring vital(s) of the patient during the procedure. A thermal insulator extends from the base. The thermal insulator forms a housing. An internal cavity is defined within the housing. The foot of the patient is receivable into the internal cavity. The thermal insulator regulates the body temperature of the animal patient during the veterinary procedure by retaining heat within the internal cavity.
EQUINE POULTICE APPLICATION PADS
A poultice application pad includes a generally planar poultice layer for application to a treatment area of a limb of an animal, and a backing sheet, adjacent to the poultice layer, which backing sheet supports and holds the form of the poultice layer when contacting the first side of the poultice layer to the treatment area to reduce application time and displacement of the mud/clay mixture beyond the treatment area. Also disclosed is a set of such poultice application pads stacked one on top of another within a sealable container.

Protective wound covering garment for animals
A protective garment for an animal includes a torso portion and an elongated groin strip extending rearwardly from a rear of the torso portion. The torso portion has a bottom, a first side and a second side, and a torso closure configured to wrap around an animal's torso when the garment is placed on the animal, and is configured to secure the first and second sides to each other at the animal's back. The elongated groin strip has an end portion and a length sufficient for the groin strip to wrap around a rear end of the animal and to be secured to the torso forward of the tail. The groin strip has a transition portion with an opening positioned and sized to permit the animal's tail to pass there through and to allow the animal to freely defecate while the garment is worn.
AURAL HEMATOMA SPLINT SYSTEM AND METHOD
An aural hematoma splint (AHS) system/method providing for animal ear pinna (AEP) suspension and/or compression allowing non-surgical treatment of AEP auricular hematoma is disclosed. The AHS promotes healing performance by including a conical primary plate (CPP) and angular secondary plate (ASP) that are used in conjunction with non-elastic fabric tape (NFT) to hold the AEP in suspension during treatment. The NFT includes a long strap collar (LSC) and cross support strips (CSS) for preparatory taping and application of the CPP/ASP to the AEP. This sandwich configuration of the CPP/ASP surrounding the AEP creates equilibrium in hematoma fluid pressures within the damaged area of the AEP, promotes a uniform thin layer of blood to clot in the entirety of the hematoma region, and allows regeneration of damaged tissues in a controlled environment while limiting structural and aesthetic damage to the healed AEP post treatment.

WEARABLE APPARATUS FOR THE TREATMENT OF MASTITIS
Wearable apparatus for the treatment of mastitis, the apparatus comprising a mammary gland wearable comprising an array of light source elements thereon emitting electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength in the range of 380-1050 nm, a power supply coupled to the array of light source elements, the wearable configured to be worn against a mammary gland in use wherein the array of light source elements emit the radiation which penetrates epidermis of the mammary gland for the treatment of mastitis.
Protection apparatus and method
Exemplary embodiments herein describe accessory equipment for equestrian applications, and in particular a flexible protective wrap or boot for supporting and protecting the upper and lower leg of a horse, including the fetlock joint. When wrapped or fastened to a horse limb, the exemplary wrap can impact strength, friction surfaces, elongation, porosity, compression, breathability, water and moisture evaporation, elasticity, absorbency and cushioning. The wrapping structure may include improved limb support, general limb protection, and treatment for swollen legs, fetlock and pastern. Embodiments described herein may include limb protection in general and particularly during trailering and long transit in motor vehicles and trailers, cellulitis treatment, and providing compression that does not disrupt lymphatic flow and blood circulation when wrapping is applied.
