A laser amplification device includes a laser oscillator that includes a first laser active medium including a mixed gas containing carbon dioxide gas and emits pulsed laser light with the full width at half maximum of between 15 ns to 200 ns, and a laser amplifier that includes a second laser active medium including a mixed gas containing carbon dioxide gas through which the pulsed laser light emitted from the laser oscillator passes to be shortened to pulsed laser light with the full width at half maximum of between 5 ns and 30 ns to be output.

The present disclosure discloses a degassing-free underwater dissolved carbon dioxide detection device and a detection method. The degassing-free underwater dissolved carbon dioxide detection device includes a computer, which is used to provide the driving signal and controlling parameters for the power tuning unit; the computer is connected with a laser driving control module and the power tuning unit, respectively; the laser driving control module is connected with a laser; the laser is connected with a photo-isolator; the photo-isolator is connected with a thulium-doped fiber vertical-cavity laser system; the thulium-doped fiber vertical-cavity laser system is connected with a photoacoustic cell system through a fiber collimator; the photoacoustic cell system is connected with a pre-amplifier circuit and a lock-in amplifier in sequence, and the lock-in amplifier is connected with the computer.
Nanocavities, and systems, devices, and methods of use
Disclosed are dielectric cavity arrays with cavities formed by pairs of dielectric tips, wherein the cavities have low mode volume (e.g., 7*10.sup.−5λ.sup.3, where X is the resonance wavelength of the cavity array), and large quality factor Q (e.g., 10.sup.6 or more). Applications for such dielectric cavity arrays include, but are not limited to, Raman spectroscopy, second harmonic generation, optical signal detection, microwave-to-optical transduction, and as light emitting devices.
Device and method for generating laser pulses
A device for generating laser pulses is provided, the device having an optical parametric oscillator converts the laser pulses of a pump laser to laser pulses at a signal wavelength and at an idler wavelength. The optical parametric oscillator has an optical resonator with a non-linear wavelength converter. It is an object of the invention to provide a device that makes efficient generation of synchronous laser pulse trains with two different central wavelengths possible. To this end, the invention proposes that the pump laser is tunable with respect to the pump wavelength and the repetition frequency, wherein the resonator has an optical fibre with a dispersion in the range of 10-100 ps/nm and a length of 10-1000 m. The invention furthermore relates to a method for generating laser pulses using such a device.
All-optical, optically addressable liquid crystal-based light valve employing photoswitchable alignment layer for high-power and/or large aperture laser applications
A beam shaping system including an all-optical liquid crystal beam shaper, the beam shaper including a photoswitchable alignment material including at least one of a PESI-F, SPMA:MMA 1:5, SPMA:MMA 1:9, ora SOMA:SOMA-p:MMA 1:1:6 material, at least some of the liquid crystals of the beam shaper including at least one of a phenylcyclohexane, cyclo-cyclohexane, or a perfluorinated material.
Multi-channel laser
A laser device includes a seed laser, a plurality of optical amplifiers, and an optical distribution assembly. The seed laser is configured to emit seed laser light. The plurality of optical amplifiers is configured to generate amplified laser light by amplifying the seed laser light. The optical distribution assembly is configured to distribute the seed laser light to an input of each of the optical amplifiers in the plurality and each of the optical amplifiers is configured to direct its respective amplified laser light to a common target.
Pulsed laser driver
The disclosure relates to a pulsed laser driver that utilizes a high-voltage switch transistor to support a high output voltage for a laser, and a low-voltage switch transistor that switches between an ON state and an OFF state to generate a pulsed current that is supplied to the laser to generate an output pulsed laser signal. The pulsed laser driver switches the low-voltage switch transistor between the ON state and the OFF state according to an input pulsed signal such that the output pulsed laser signal is modulated according to the input pulsed signal. The pulsed laser driver also utilizes a feedback control module to control the gate terminal voltage of the high-voltage switch transistor to improve the precision of the output pulsed laser signal.
APPARATUS FOR THE SPECTRAL BROADENING OF LASER PULSES AND OPTICAL SYSTEM
An apparatus for spectral broadening of laser pulses includes a main body, a plurality of mirror elements fastened to the main body, each having a mirror surface formed thereon and configured to reflect the laser pulses the plurality of mirror elements being fastened to a main body, and at least one nonlinear optical medium for the passage of the laser pulses for the generation of a nonlinear phase (Φ.sub.NL) by self-phase modulation. The at least one nonlinear optical medium may be a sheet-like and disk-shaped solid-state optical medium and/or a gaseous optical medium.
Synthetic diamond optical elements
An optical element comprising a window formed of synthetic diamond material and an optical surface pattern formed directly in a surface of the synthetic diamond material. The window of synthetic diamond material is in the form of a wedged diamond window with non-parallel major surfaces defining a wedge angle in a range (1) arcminute to 10° and the optical surface pattern is formed directly in one or both of the non-parallel major surfaces. There is also described a laser system comprising the optical element and a laser having a coherence length, wherein the coherence length of the laser is greater than twice a thickness of the wedged diamond window at its thickest point.
METROLOGY FOR IMPROVING DUV LASER ALIGNMENT
A light source apparatus includes a gas discharge stage, a sensing apparatus, an optical arrangement, an adjustment apparatus, and a control apparatus. The gas discharge stage includes an optical amplifier including a chamber configured to hold a gas discharge medium outputting a light beam, and a set of optical elements configured to form an optical resonator around the optical amplifier. The optical arrangement is configured to image light from a plurality of distinct object planes within the gas discharge stage onto the sensing apparatus. The adjustment apparatus is in physical communication with one or more optical components within the gas discharge stage and is configured to modify at least one geometric aspect of the optical components. The control apparatus is communication with the sensing apparatus and the adjustment apparatus and is configured to provide a signal to the adjustment apparatus based on an output from the sensing apparatus.
