Power control method and related charging system

A power control method for a charging system includes: detecting a power signal and an input voltage of the power signal; determining a charging protocol supported by the power signal; and determining whether to conduct a power switching circuit or not according to the input voltage of the power signal and the charging protocol supported by the power signal to provide power for an amplifier chip of the charging system.

Battery life of battery powered wireless devices

A method of reducing a power consumption of a wireless device according to one embodiment includes performing, by the wireless device, a calibration of wireless communication circuitry of the wireless device in response to establishing a wireless communication connection with a wireless access point, determining, by the wireless device, a number of disconnections between the wireless device and the wireless access point over a predefined period of time, and increasing, by the wireless device, a sleep interval of the wireless communication circuitry of the wireless device in response to determining the number of disconnections between the wireless device and the wireless access point over the predefined period of time is less than a threshold number of disconnections.

Method for docking an autonomous mobile green area maintenance robot to a docking station, docking station system, green area maintenance system, and system

A method docks an autonomous mobile green area maintenance robot to a docking station. An electrical conductor arrangement runs in the region of the docking station, wherein the conductor arrangement is designed such that a periodic current flows through the conductor arrangement, wherein the current generates a periodic magnetic field. The green area maintenance robot has two magnetic field sensors, wherein the two magnetic field sensors are designed such that the magnetic field respectively causes a periodic sensor signal in the magnetic field sensors. The method has the steps of: determining a phase shift between the two sensor signals or signals based on the sensor signals, and controlling movement of the green area maintenance robot for docking on the basis of the determined phase shift.

Power supply device

In a power supply device, switching section switch a connection between batteries to a series connection or a parallel connection. In a case where the connection between the batteries is switched from the series connection to the parallel connection to charge the batteries by an external charger, a controller does not switch the connection to the parallel connection, does not charge one battery having a larger voltage out of the batteries, and separately charges the other battery when a potential difference between a voltage of the battery and a voltage of the battery is a predetermined threshold value or higher; and the controller switches the connection to the parallel connection and charges the batteries when the potential difference is lower than the threshold value.
