Wear indicator for track and mover system

The present disclosure describes a mover of a linear motor system. The mover includes a housing and a material coupled to the housing, the material having one or more protrusions extending towards a track of the linear motor system. The mover also includes a bearing to interface with the track. The bearing includes one or more recesses extending from a first surface of the bearing toward a second surface of the bearing, opposite the first surface. Each of the one or more recesses receives a respective protrusion of the one or more protrusions of the material. The bearing wears away from the second surface over time as the mover travels along the track, exposing the one or more protrusions to the track.

Electric machine

An electric machine including a stator and a frame, the stator is supported with support necks on the frame in at least two axially spaced support locations. The support locations include a first group of support necks and a second group of support necks. The support necks in the first group are positioned in connection with a vertical centre plane. The second group includes two side support necks positioned opposite to each other at an angular distance above or below a horizontal centre plane. The angular distance is defined by a first angle which is determined in degrees by the formula α1=(90/P)±(⅕)*(90/P), where P is the number of poles of the electric machine and P>2.

According to one aspect of the present disclosure, an electric motor for a laundry appliance includes a first stator having a central axis. A first rotor is in electromagnetic communication with the first stator and is rotationally operable about the central axis. A second stator is aligned with the central axis. A second rotor is in electromagnetic communication with the second stator and is rotationally operable about the central axis. The first and second stators are positioned within a common motor cavity of an outer housing. A controller regulates a first electrical current to the first stator and a second electrical current to the second stator. The controller includes a torque discrimination module for monitoring an output torque of at least the first rotor.

Selectable current limiting for power tool

Selectable current limiting for a power tool. One embodiment provides a method for selectable current limiting for a power tool including determining, using a current sensor, an average current and determining whether the average current exceeds a predetermined current threshold. The method also includes determining a deviation of the average current from the predetermined current threshold and reducing a PWM duty ratio proportional to the deviation of the average current from the predetermined current threshold. The PWM duty ratio corresponds to a PWM signal provided to an inverter bridge.
