SERVOVALVE
There is provided an apparatus comprising a torque motor comprising a spring, armature, flapper assembly (SAFA), a body, wherein the spring, armature, flapper assembly is mounted onto the body, and a cap enclosing the spring, armature, flapper assembly. One or more cooling passages are provided within the body and are configured to receive cooling air and direct the cooling air onto the spring, armature, flapper assembly of the torque motor.
Dual cam torque transfer mechanism
In one aspect, an actuator assembly is disclosed, which includes an input shaft, an output shaft, and a limited angle actuator that is coupled to the input shaft for rotating the input shaft to generate an input torque profile over an input stroke. A rotatable input element having a first cam profile is adapted to couple to the input shaft to rotate therewith, and a rotatable output element having a second cam profile is coupled to the output shaft to rotate with that shaft. The actuator assembly further includes at least one coupling element for rotationally coupling the rotatable input element to the rotatable output element to transfer a rotary motion of the input shaft to the output shaft to generate an output torque profile over an output stroke. The first and second cam profiles are configured such that the output profile is different than the input profile.

Method for operating a building closure
A method for operating a building closure having the shape of an overhead sectional door or of a garage door including at least one spring-loaded counterweight device and an electrical drive device is disclosed. A control unit simultaneously monitors the position of the building closure and a motor current for the drive device. When the building closure is in an open or a closed position, the motor current is reduced and maintained at a level to residually energize the drive device to reliably maintain the building closure in a desired position.

Low Cost Limited Rotation Rotary Actuator
A limited rotation electromechanical rotary actuator includes a stator having an opening sized to accept a rotor assembly and an electrical coil. A rotor assembly is bidirectionally operable with the stator over a limited range of rotation. The rotor assembly includes an output shaft and a two-pole magnet and a position sensor shaft, wherein the output shaft and position sensor shaft are each rigidly attached to only a portion of the magnet. The rotor assembly includes apertures for allowing an electrical coil to pass through. The electrical coil extends around the magnet on four sides and is excitable for providing bidirectional torque to the rotor.
Motor and rotary assembly thereof
A motor and a rotary assembly of the motor are provided. The motor includes a rotary assembly and a stationary assembly supporting the rotary assembly. The rotary assembly includes a rotary shaft, a retainer rotating along with the rotary shaft, and a rotor magnet retained by the retainer. A portion of the rotor magnet engages with a portion of the retainer via interference fit, and a gap is defined between another portion of the rotor magnet and another portion of the retainer.
SERVOVALVE
A valve body for a servovalve is provided comprising: a first surface adapted to extend parallel and adjacent to a substantially flat pole piece surface of a pole piece in use; and attachment features provided on the first surface for attaching the valve body to the pole piece in use, wherein the first surface is contoured such that, in use, an area of the first surface surrounding the attachment features is in contact with the substantially flat pole piece surface and an area of the first surface removed from the attachment features is not in contact with the substantially flat pole piece surface.
SERVOVALVE WITH ADJUSTABLE AIR GAPS
A torque motor for a servovalve is provided, the torque motor comprising an armature and a first pole piece. The first pole piece has a first portion and a second portion that is selectively moveable relative to the first portion such that a size of an air gap formed between the second portion and the armature is adjusted in response to the movement of the second portion relative to the first portion.
