Roofing System and Method of Installation

The present disclosure relates generally to roofing systems, for example, suitable for covering the roof of a house or other building. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a roofing system that includes a plurality of riser blocks disposed on a support surface. The riser blocks include a group that is aligned in a row. A batten extends along the row and is supported by the group of riser blocks. The batten includes a first clip portion. A group of roofing panels is disposed along the row and is supported by the batten. Further, each of the roofing panels of the group includes a front surface, a rear surface, and a second clip portion extending from the rear surface. The second clip portion is configured to engage the first clip portion of the batten so as to secure the roofing panels to the batten.

A solar panel mounting system including a rail and a clip. When a first notch of the rail receives a portion of a rib of the rail, the clip is positioned on the rail to receive an end of a first solar panel having a first thickness, and when a second notch of the rail receives the portion of the rib, the clip is positioned on the rail to receive an end of a second solar panel having a second thickness different than the first thickness of the first solar panel.

Electrical Bonding Splice for Solar Panel Rail Guides

In various representative aspects, an assembly for connecting and electrically bonding two solar panel rail guides. More specifically, the assembly provides a splice that slides within two solar panel rail guides and includes an elongated spring element that is inserted into an elongated slot in the splice and enables the two solar panel rail guides to be electrically bonded together when various bonding techniques are used to allow portions of the spring to penetrate the oxidation layers of the inner surfaces of the rail guides as they are joined together. Another embodiment that utilizes a bonding element that is inserted into an elongated slot of a splice and also enables two solar panel rail guides to be electrically bonded when the rail guides are joined.

An automatic inflator device includes a housing that houses various operational components of the automatic inflator device such as a power source that is electrically coupled to a pump. A coupling portion attached to the housing selectively secures the automatic inflator device to an inflatable object, such as an inflatable watercraft, where the automatic inflator device may remain secured even while the inflatable object remains fully operational, such as while the inflatable object is in use. The pump may be selectively energized to pump air into the inflatable object via a fluid conduit. For example, the pump may be energized or de-energized based on user input or automatically based on a measured pressure of the inflatable object. Optionally, the automatic inflator device may be incorporated into an inlet valve of the inflatable object as the inflatable object is originally manufactured.

Torque tube coupler

A first embodiment of a torque tube coupler may include an outer body that includes a first abutting surface and a second abutting surface adjacent to the first abutting surface. Set screws may be inserted into one or more channels of the first abutting surface. Tightening the set screws may force the abutting surfaces away from each other and the outer body to press against an inner surface of a torque tube. Another embodiment of the torque tube coupler may include a central ring sized based on a size of a torque tube. The torque tube coupler may also include a set of fingers that extend away from a first side of the central ring and are shaped to flex radially outward. The torque tube coupler may include a core disposed within the set of fingers that, when drawn towards the central ring, causes the fingers to flex radially outwards.

Dynamically adjustable, flexible, and modular photovoltaic system and method

There is a dynamically adjustable photovoltaic (PV) system for transforming solar energy into electrical energy. The dynamically adjustable PV system includes a first PV fold including a first set of PV cells for generating electrical energy, and a first laminating film that encapsulates the first set of PV cells; a second PV fold including a second set of PV cells for generating electrical energy, and a second laminating film that encapsulates the second set of PV cells; and a connecting mechanism that connects the first laminating film to the second laminating film. The connecting mechanism includes a chamber.
