Hospital Bed Assembly
A hospital bed assembly includes a bed frame that may be positioned on a support surface. A mattress lies on the bed frame and a user lies on the mattress. The mattress has an opening extending therethrough and the opening is aligned with the user's buttocks when the user lies on the mattress. A toilet unit is movably coupled to the mattress and the toilet unit receives feces and urine from the user. The toilet unit is fluidly coupled to a sewer thereby facilitating the feces and urine to be flushed into the sewer. Moreover, the toilet unit is aligned with the opening in the mattress. A control unit is coupled to the bed frame and the control unit is electrically coupled to the toilet unit to control operational parameters of the toilet unit.
Bedpan Housing
A bedpan housing is provided. The bedpan housing has a base, sidewalls and a top surface that a user may rest their body on. The bedpan housing defines an open front through which a bedpan may pass. In use, the bedpan housing may allow the bedpan to be properly positioned for use and removed after use without excess interference by a patient using the bedpan.
Multi-liner assembly for a body liquid receptacle and a body liquid receptacle including same
A multi-liner assembly for lining a body liquid receptacle includes a plurality of lining units superimposed on one another and engageable with the body liquid receptacle to line a cavity formed therein. Each of the plurality of lining units includes an impermeable layer having a top side with an absorbent material superposed thereon. When the multi-liner assembly is engaged with the body liquid receptacle, a topmost one of the plurality of lining units is exposed and is individually removable from the multi-liner assembly to leave a subsequent one of the plurality of lining units exposed. A multi-liner assembly including a rigid support removably engageable with a body liquid receptacle is also provided. When a rigid support is engaged with the body liquid receptacle, the top side of at least one lining unit is exposed and positioned to line a cavity formed in the body liquid receptacle.
Urine collection system including a flow meter and related methods
A urine collection system includes a urine collection device configured to collect urine discharged from a user and a urine collection container in fluid communication with the urine collection device and sized and dimensioned to receive the urine discharged from the user. The urine collection system also includes a flow meter having a communication interface and positioned between the urine collection container and the urine collection device. The flow meter is configured to detect a flow property of the urine at least related to a volume of the urine entering the urine collection container and the communication interface is configured to wirelessly communicate to a computing device at least one of the detected flow property or the volume of the urine including the volume of the urine discharged from the user entering the urine collection container.
Female external urinary device and assembly
A female external urinary device useful in managing urine output of a female, such as for surgical use, includes a core having a suction channel and an interior reservoir fluidically communicating with the suction channel, an absorbent layer, and a fabric cover. Desirably, the urinary device includes a moderately absorbent soaker layer disposed inwardly with respect to the core. A urinary device assembly includes the core and a pelvic belt that may be secure to the core and positioned to collect urine from a female patient.
URINE COLLECTION SYSTEM INCLUDING A FLOW METER AND RELATED METHODS
Examples relate to devices, systems, and methods for collecting and measuring discharged urine.
MARYED HEALTHCARE SOLUTION BED
According to at least one embodiment, an apparatus for continuous collection of human waste products is disclosed. The apparatus may include a bed frame, a lower plate having a container coupled thereto, an upper plate having an aperture defined therein, a mattress having an aperture defined therein, a mattress cover having an aperture defined therein and an absorbent pad having a bag coupled thereto. The apparatus may allow for continuous collection of human waste products while maintaining the patient in a comfortable position. The apparatus may further facilitate preventing human waste products from contacting the skin of the patient, thereby Substantially reducing the occurrence of pressure ulcers. Additionally, the apparatus may reduce the need for the use of Foley catheters for incontinence management, thereby reducing the occurrence of urinary tract infections related to Such SC.
Urinal Holder
A device is described herein for holding a urinal. The urinal holder includes a base and at least one side wall that together at least partially define a cavity for holding the urinal in a stationary position. The at least one side wall is coupled to the base at a location spaced apart from the perimeter of the base. An extension for hanging the urinal holder from a structure may be coupled to the at least one side wall. The extension may be integrally formed with the at least one side wall and may include a straight portion or a curved portion.
Disposable bedpan with lid
A disposable bedpan with lid, having a bedpan with a base and a sidewall having at least one lateral support. The bedpan further has a top ridge and a front ridge. The bedpan further has a front top cavity defined between the top ridge and the front ridge. A cover has a cover base and a u-shaped cover base ridge. The u-shaped cover base ridge is inserted into the front top cavity when the cover mounts upon the bedpan. The cover is connected to the bedpan by a hinge. A lid has a lid panel and is connected to the bedpan by a lid hinge. The bedpan having the cover and lid are for a single use and are disposable. A plurality of the bedpan having the cover and the lid are stackable upon one another. The bedpan having the cover and the lid collects waste.
SELF-COMPENSATING BED SCALE SYSTEM FOR REMOVABLE COMPONENTS
A patient support apparatus includes detectors and a controller operable to automatically update a tare weight for use in determining a true patient weight. The detectors are configured to produce signals indicating a presence or absence of a corresponding removable component. The controller is configured to determine weights of each and every removable component on the patient support apparatus and store each weight in a memory. The controller is further configured to receive the signals produced by the detectors and detect any addition or removal of removable components of the patient support apparatus, update the tare weight, and determine a weight of a patient being supported on the patient support apparatus.
